Meet the 3rd Grade Teachers
School Phone: (770) 888-7511 Fogarty, Robyn
I am very excited to be teaching at Sharon Elementary. This is my 21st year of teaching elementary school in Georgia and New Hampshire! I am married to my wonderful husband, John, and have 4 sons, Shane 22, Zachary 21, Ryan 15 and Kyle 9. We are always busy and having fun with the family. My favorite things to do are reading, hiking, boating, shopping and playing (or watching!) sports (especially the New England Patriots!).
I grew up in Pennsylvania and received my teaching degree at California University of PA. After college, I moved to GA where I began my career teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade. My family and I moved to NH for two years where I taught 2nd grade, then we moved back to GA for 3 years and I taught 3rd grade. Our family missed the seasons and beauty of New England, so we moved back to NH for 3 years and I taught a year each in 1st grade, 2nd grade and 5th grade. Even though we absolutely love New Hampshire we decided to move back (for good!) to be closer to family. We are excited to have made our home in Forsyth County. I am absolutely thrilled to work with you and your child to make their 3rd grade year a wonderful experience.

Hello, and welcome to Third Grade! I am so excited to be a part of the amazing Sharon family again this year and to be able to spend valuable time with these smart, fun, and eager students! I have been a part of the Sharon family as a parent, volunteer, substitute, and teacher for the past five years and have loved every moment of it. It was my time as a long-term substitute teacher three years ago that really made me miss teaching. I feel so lucky to LOVE my work!
Born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, I earned my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Birmingham-Southern College and my Master's in Reading Instruction from the University of Montevallo. I also earned my gifted endorsement from the state of Georgia. This past summer, I completed training to become a Level One Google Educator. My teaching career has spanned across two states, three school systems, and over 10 years. Although I chose to stay home and raise my two children, I never stopped wanting to learn, and I knew I'd be back in the classroom again. Teaching and learning are my passions, and I hope to share my excitement with your child this year!
My husband, Ken and I have been married for 15 years. We have two children, Jack, a seventh-grader at SFMS, and Emmie, a fifth-grader here at Sharon. Outside of school, you will most likely find me cheering on my kids and their teams from the pool deck and/or soccer field. In my spare time, I enjoy being anywhere with water, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year, and can't wait to begin our stellar year together!

Hi! My name is Jeni Pestorius and I am thrilled to be a part of Sharon Elementary’s 3rd Grade Team! Many of you know me because of my girls, Emma and Paige. Both attended Sharon from K-5 and we all had a wonderful 9 years at Sharon. If I wasn’t busy as a room mom, I was volunteering on the Science Lab/DIGS committee. I enjoyed working with the dedicated science volunteers and being a part of an amazing cohort. Additionally, some of you may know me as a soccer coach since I have coached recreation soccer for 26 seasons. My girls are now involved in theater and dance, so I have moved on to becoming an enthusiastic observer! Lastly, you may know me from substitute teaching here at Sharon. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to teach 2nd, 4th, and 5th as a long-term sub and was able to understand our school from an educator’s point of view. I love Sharon even more from experiencing all aspects of our Blue Ribbon school, and I am honored to be an educator here!
I began my education journey tutoring illiterate adults in the Appalachian Mountains in Southeastern Ohio. It is an incredible feeling to teach someone how to read, write, and sign their own name! I continued on my path to learning on the other side of the world in Swaziland. I had the opportunity to teach 6th grade reading and math in a Swaziland school. After that amazing study abroad program, I dedicated my studies to education and to making a difference in the world. Out of college, I moved to Atlanta and taught for 9 years in Cobb County. During my 9 years, I went back to school and earned my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Plus, I got my Gifted-Endorsement and mulit-age training. In Cobb, I taught 2nd grade, multi-age 3rd/4th, and Gifted 1st-5th. I look forward to continuing my education journey and learning each and every day with the students! Moreover, I hope to bring joy to the classroom, positive and creative learning experiences, and success for each child!

Welcome to 3rd Grade! I hope you and your family are having a fun and relaxing summer vacation.
I wanted to give you a little information about myself. I was born and raised in Toccoa, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Mike and I have three beautiful children. McKenzie will be in 11th Grade at Lambert, Michael will be in 8th Grade at South Forsyth Middle School, and Jack will be in 6th grade at South Forsyth Middle School. They are the loves of our life, and we enjoy every minute we spend with them! I am a huge sports fan. I love UGA football, watching my kids play sports, shopping, reading magazines, and I also love listening to country music.
This will be my 20th year teaching in Forsyth County. I taught four years in Kindergarten, one year in 1st grade, and fifteen years in 3rd grade. Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been lucky to teach such wonderful students. Sharon Elementary School is a great place where I truly enjoy being around such enthusiastic students, staff, and parents.
In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect. I work hard build a sense of community among my students, and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom and as I work with my peers. I believe that great things can happen when we work together! Sharon is a place where I really feel like part of a strong community and part of a winning team. This year will be fun and exciting. I am committed to teaching your child in a positive, supportive, and loving environment in which every child is successful! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my love for learning with your child.
I am so happy to be at Sharon Elementary, working with the best staff, the best parents and the best students! I was born and raised in Ohio, but moved to Georgia with my family in 1984. After graduating from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, I began my teaching career in Cobb County. I taught 3rd grade (my favorite!) in the same school, even the same room for 10 years! During that time I met and married my husband, Jackson. We moved to Jacksonville, Florida and then Charleston, South Carolina. During my 8 years in Florida and South Carolina I continued teaching as a reading safety-net teacher, kindergarten special education teacher and a science lab instructor. Finally, 8 years ago, we made it back to Georgia! I worked again in Cobb County for 2 years as a science lab instructor. My love of science is enormous and I love to share my lab experiences with the students of Sharon! This will be my fifth year working here at Sharon and I am excited for my next group of third graders!
My home is a busy place with my husband, Jackson and my 3 children. My daughter, Rachel (21) is a senior at the University of Tennessee studying biomedical engineering. Emily (18) is a freshman and attends the University of Tennessee. My youngest, Ryan (15) is a sophomore at Lambert. I also have a super cute Schnauzer named Quincy! I spend my weekends cheering for my kids at all their sporting events, boating on Lake Lanier, taking Quincy to the dog park, and driving up to Tennessee to see my daughter! Go Vols!

Welcome to Third Grade! I am thrilled to be at the beginning of another school year! I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. Teaching is what I love to do and it's where my heart is. I love helping students learn, grow, and evolve as they continue on their educational journey. This school year marks my 13th year of teaching. I spent the first 6 years of my career teaching second grade in Jackson County. This year is my 7th year as a third grade teacher at Sharon Elementary. I could not be more proud to call myself a Sharon Knight!
I moved to Georgia shortly after graduating college, and have loved living here! I am originally from upstate NY, and went to college in Boston, Massachusetts. While in Boston, I earned a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Human Development. I later went on to earn a Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. My husband Matt and I have been married for ten years and we have three beautiful children. My step-daughter Dianna will be a Junior this year at Lambert; our son Matthew Jr. ("MJ") is 7 years old and will be in second grade here at Sharon, and our youngest, Shea, will be 5 in November and will be in Pre-K this year. We also have two dogs named Ollie and Penny. Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family, read, watch football (go Giants!), cook, and bake.
I cannot wait to meet my new group of third graders. I know it's going to be a fantastic year!
