Georgia has been my home now for 7 years and I love it here!  I especially love teaching at Sharon Elementary for the last 6 years!  While at Sharon, I’ve had the privilege of teaching both 4th grade and 5th grade, and consider both grades my favorite!  Because my husband was a Marine for many years we moved often. I have also taught 2nd-6th grade in Illinois, North Carolina and Florida.

Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher.  I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education from Wheaton College in Illinois, with a concentration in English literature.  I am middle school certified to teach ELA and Social Studies as well as Gifted Endorsed.

When I am not teaching, I like to spend my time with my husband and four daughters.  Two of my girls attend Riverwatch and two attend Lambert. Whenever I am not cheering from the sidelines at a sports event, I love getting outdoors and hiking with my family and my dogs!  We also love to cook, travel and explore together whenever we can. I am looking forward to this year as being my best year yet in 4th grade!

I am excited to be  part of the 4th grade team for a second year at Sharon. I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education (War Eagle!).   I continued my education to receive a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Florida State University.   I have 17 years experience in a variety of elementary grade levels in Virginia, Florida, and Georgia including Forsyth County.

Teaching is my passion and I can’t wait to learn, explore and grow with you!  Our class community will be engaging, fun, interesting, and foster  high level thinking skills.   You will love flexible seating! We will form strong relationships built on love, respect, and acceptance.  We are going to have a blast!

When away from teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and our Westie, Cody.   My husband of 30 years and I have built a fun filled life together full of adventure and time with family and friends.   Our son is a senior at FSU in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Political Science and minor in Psychology.  Our daughter is a freshman at  University of Tennessee in the Direct Admit Nursing Program.  As a family we enjoy the outdoors, boating, going to concerts, football, and spending time with extended family and friends. This year will be EPIC!  Go Knights!

Welcome to fourth grade! We are going to have a blast together as we learn many new skills and become a class family! We will get creative, work hard, and laugh a lot along the way! I cannot wait to challenge you and watch you soar! It’s going to be a lot of fun! Let’s get going!

My husband, Thomas, and I got married on a beach in 2016. Our son, Thomas (You will hear a lot about him!) turned three this year! We enjoy trips to the bookstore, exploring new playgrounds, and getting messy together! He really does keep us on our toes, but we LOVE every moment!

This is my 16th year teaching. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade…all at Sharon! I am dual certified, have earned multiple endorsements (gifted, ESL, and reading), and later earned my Specialists Degree in Teaching and Leadership. I am passionate about flexible seating, group projects, having freedom in the classroom, AND Harry Potter! Teaching is my passion, and I cannot wait to see what you can accomplish during our year together!

My name is Mrs. Landwerlen, and I’m thrilled to be teaching another year of 4th Grade at Sharon Elementary. Fourth grade is my absolute favorite grade to teach!  This year your child will embark on an amazing journey filled with learning, laughter, and a growing independence.

This January will mark my 16th year of teaching. Prior to coming to Forsyth County, I taught in Alabama for thirteen and a half years. I graduated from Auburn University of Montgomery with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  In 2013 I obtained my master’s degree in Gifted Education from Troy University of Dothan. I have experience working with students in third through sixth grade and have worked with students with varying levels of ability. My personal teaching philosophy is to ignite a passion for learning by making school a place where children want to come.

We moved to Georgia last January due to my husband’s work as a computer engineer. My husband James and I have two boys, Mitchell (age 17) and Parker (age 14). Mitchell is attending Lambert and Parker is at Riverwatch.  Our other family member is our lab mix, Lil Bit (10).  My parents, sister and brother live in Alabama, and my husband’s family lives in Indianapolis.  We love spending time with them every chance we get.

I enjoy all water activities, reading a good book, shopping, and making memories with my friends and family members. Looking forward to another great year at Sharon Elementary-Go Knights!!

Hi there! My name is Courtney Miotti and I am absolutely ecstatic to be returning to fourth grade at Sharon Elementary this year! I was raised in Georgia, primarily here in Forsyth County, so this area has been home to me for a very long time. I take pride in graduating from Georgia College and State University (Go Bobcats!) with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  Additionally through Georgia College, I received a Reading Endorsement and became an Apple Certified Educator. This summer, I am working towards becoming a Google Certified Educator, Level 1. Along with teaching fourth grade during the 2019-2020 school year at Sharon, I have had teaching experiences in kindergarten, first grade, and fifth grade.

One of my greatest passions is cultivating relationships with my students- I love hearing their stories and perspectives on the world. My former students would describe our classroom environment as a big, happy family that has fun and works hard. My goal as an educator is to be someone who not only highly engages students in the grade level content, but also inspires students to grow as individuals through learning valuable life skills such as kindness, problem solving, and building confidence through self- advocating.  I have fallen in love with this profession and community, and I am looking forward to another amazing adventure in fourth grade this year!

In my spare time, I enjoy going out to eat and exploring new places with friends, going for walks/runs, and reading books about personal growth. I love volunteering in various capacities as well. I have been a mentor leader for many different students ages 4-18 in multiple diverse environments. I am currently mentoring a fabulous group of sophomore girls at my church- they bring my heart so much joy!

My name is Jessica Nardecchia, and I am so excited to be returning for a 3rd year to both 4th Grade and Sharon Elementary this year.

I earned both my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Master of Arts in Education, with an endorsement in reading, from The University of Findlay, located in Ohio. My husband, Cory, and I relocated from Ohio to the Atlanta area in 2014 and immediately fell in love with the Georgia life!

The 2020-2021 school year will be my 7th year teaching. Before coming to Sharon Elementary, I taught as a 3rd-grade teacher in Gwinnett County Public Schools. During my time in Gwinnett, I completed my gifted endorsement, enabling me to encourage innovative and creative thinking in my classroom. I enjoy fostering a supportive family-like feel in my classroom, where students feel supported and encouraged in their learning.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy crafting, sewing, quilting, and reading! My husband and I enjoy watching movies, attending concerts, going out to eat, and spending time with friends. We also love going on walks, playing, and exploring new areas with our dog, Delaney.
