Kristen Barinowski, P.E.
Hi Sharon Families! Since my name is a long one, I go by Coach Mama Bear. I am so excited to return to Sharon for my 18th year! I will be teaching Physical Education for grades K-5.
Prior to my arrival at Sharon I taught Health, Aerobic Dance, and Personal Fitness at Forsyth Central High School. While at Central, I was also the head volleyball coach, football cheer coach, and the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) leader. I joined the Sharon family the year my oldest began school here at Sharon.
I grew up in a small town in Missouri called Poplar Bluff. I was honored to serve my state as the 1994 Miss Teen of Missouri...Girls, always remember that you can be BOTH athletic and feminine! After my high school graduation in 1994, I declined an invitation to do long jump for the Naval Academy and accepted full scholarships at Three Rivers College as a volleyball player and a cheerleader. In 1996, I moved to Georgia to attend University of West Georgia on a full volleyball scholarship. I also qualified for the Hope Scholarship. In 1998-99, I continued my education at West Ga. on scholarship as the strength and conditioning coach/athletic trainer for the college volleyball team and softball team. I graduated with a B.S. in Education and certification to teach Health and Physical Education for grades K-12.
Throughout my college years, I also participated in Olympic Weightlifting competitions. In 1996, as the National Jr. Olympic Champion, I had the awesome opportunity to lift in an exhibition meet in the '96 Olympics.
I have been married for 25 years to my best friend, David. We have been blessed with two wonderful children, Averi (21), attends KSU and Josh (19). A fun fact about our family is that Averi and Josh share the same birthday!
Currently, I enjoy playing tennis, doing Pilates, running, reading and shopping at my favorite store, TJ MAXX. I especially enjoy time with my family on Lake Lanier boating, swimming, skiing and fishing.
I am truly blessed to get paid to do what I love.... in the best school, with the best teachers and students!

Mrs. Kristin Baugh, Counseling
I am so excited to join the Sharon family this year. I am originally from Americus, Georgia, but my husband and I have lived in Forsyth County for twenty-two years. I have three incredible children- two sons, and a daughter. Chandler is a sophomore at UGA studying Psychology, Griffin is an upcoming college freshman headed to Auburn in the fall to study engineering, and Sadie is an upcoming high school freshman.
I received my undergraduate degree in Child and Family Development from UGA , a master’s degree in special education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Georgia Southwestern State University, and I am a soon to be graduate of Valdosta State University’s masters degree program in School Counseling.
I have been an interrelated teacher for the past fifteen years in both elementary and middle school. Working with students in both of these age groups has helped me appreciate how amazing it is to see students learn, develop, and succeed from kindergarten to high school.
I enjoy almost every activity that involves the outdoors. Traveling with my family is my favorite activity, and I love creating new experiences with them.
Becoming a school counselor has been a passion of mine for many years, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to work with the students and staff at Sharon.

Mrs. Tiffany Bono, STEAM
Hello! My name is Tiffany Bono and I am delighted to begin my 18th year in education as a Sharon Knight! I’m a native of McDonough, GA. I’ve taught grades K-3, STEM (K-5), and was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2021. I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia College & State University, a master’s degree in instructional technology from Troy University, and a specialist’s degree in instructional technology from the University of West Georgia. I also have my gifted endorsement.
I am passionate about STEM education and cannot wait to dive into learning this school year. We will focus on using the engineering design process and the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity) while in STEM.
When I am not teaching, you can find me spending time with my family. I have two sons, Jack and Luca, who are also students at Sharon. My husband, Nick, is a Philadelphia native so we are frequently at Atlanta/Philly sporting events. Go Braves!
I am looking forward to an amazing school year!

Dr. David Krosner, Music
My name is Dr. David Krosner and this is my 29th year in education. I have spent the past 8 years as an instructional technology specialist and am excited to get back into the music classroom. I have taught band, chorus, and general music to grades pre-K through college. I currently teach in the graduate fine arts EDS program at Piedmont University.
I love to play every instrument. My favorite instrument is the one I happen to be playing in any given moment. My undergraduate degrees are in Percussion Performance and Music Education.
Fun Fact: 18 years ago I taught at Sharon (talk about full circle). The first “Pete the Cat” book “I Love My White Shoes” had my Sharon elementary chorus students singing on the accompanying track.
I have two children that are the lights of my life. My daughter is a senior at UGA studying Astrophysics and my son is a freshman at Vanderbilt studying music performance and finance. The three words that sum up my philosophy of music are “positive musical experiences”. We will sing, move, play, and have a great time in music.Above everything else, we will make some joyful noise together.

I have been fortunate to not only be a staff member at Sharon, but also be a parent at the school. There is no better place to have your children attend their elementary school years!!!
I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in English. After graduating from college, I worked in corporate, and then stayed home a few years to raise the boys. I taught preschool for 3 years, and when my youngest started kindergarten at Sharon, I became part of the Sharon staff.

Mrs. Kim Matthews, Theater
Hi! My name is Kim Matthews. I am originally from NY, but moved here from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I went to Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania where I received my degree in Music Education. I taught preschool for 10 years prior to moving to Atlanta and I have been working at Sharon Elementary as a paraprofessional for 17 years now! I am married to my wonderful husband Todd and we have one son, Ryan... who is 30 and married to sweet Kylie!! I love cooking, crafts and mostly singing!
This past year I took on the new role of Drama teacher! It was so much fun! We focused on all aspects of performing, whether it be on a stage or behind the scenes. This class gives students confidence with public speaking, experience working together in small groups (Ensembles), and an opportunity to be comfortable enough to try new things! I have helped with the school musicals for the past 8 years as well since Musical Theater is a passion of mine! I am really looking forward to an awesome 2024-2025 school year!!
