Jessica Hammond My name is Jessica Hammond. This is my 6th year teaching first grade, and I absolutely love being a Comet. My favorite part of the job is building relationships with my students and colleagues, and helping my students realize how much fun learning can be. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my husband, my sweet little boy (Harrison), and our two dogs. We love day-trips, hiking, and anything outdoors! Hi friends! My name is Janna Quatela. This is my 2nd year at Silver City and I love being a Comet! I attended the University of North Georgia and graduated with a dual degree in General Education and Special Education. I have a Reading Endorsement and am ESOL certified. I have been teaching first grade for three years. My husband and I have one sweet daughter named Layla. We love spending time with her and taking family trips. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Special Education in 2012 from NGCSU and earned my Master’s degree from Valdosta State University in the Fall of 2017. I have teaching experience in 3rd grade, Kindergarten and 1st grade but 1st grade definitely has a hold on my heart. There is nothing better than watching my kiddos grow in their excitement for learning while taking ownership of our classroom. I'm Felicia Tinsley and will be back in First Grade this year. This will be my 8th year of teaching with one year of 3rd grade experience and six years of 1st grade experience. My teaching experience comes from being a graduate of Reinhardt University and teaching in Cherokee County and now Forsyth County. My passion is teaching 1st grade by teaching children how to read and have a love for reading. I also enjoy teaching 1st grade math and helping children to push past their fears and believing in themselves. I live in the Dawsonville area with my husband and our two Weimaraners, Smoky and Shadow. I enjoy spending time with my dogs, drinking coffee, reading books, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, listening to music, vacation trips to Tennessee, and venturing to the beach.
