Grace Cantrell I am so excited to start my teaching career here at Silver City! I fell in love with the school when I was student teaching here last year. I recently graduated from the University of North Georgia with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. I have spent the past two years being mentored by a variety of veteran teachers. I believe in building connections with all students. I cannot wait to share my passion for teaching with my students, parents, and colleagues. 350301
Julie Guy I have my master's degree in Early Childhood Reading and Literacy, and this is my nineteenth year teaching in Forsyth County. I am a mother of three, two girls and a boy. My husband and I have been married for 16 years, and we live in Dahlonega. I enjoy hiking, watching scary movies, and reading. I love teaching second grade, and I can't wait to meet my new class! 350316
Amy Lancaster This is my 30th year teaching in Forsyth County in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th or Gifted. I have earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from UNG in Early Childhood Ed. and an Instructional Technology Specialist Degree from Kennesaw State. I enjoy spending time with my husband Ben and our 2 children, Morgan (24) and Andrew (21). 350300
Laura Lauterbach I am excited to be starting my 19th year teaching. My husband Eric and I live in Cumming with our daughter, Sarah (3rd grade). I have a B.S. in Elementary Education from SUNY Cortland, a M.S. Ed. from Walden University, with a specialization in Elementary Reading and Literacy, and a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw University. I am looking forward to another amazing school year! 350307
Lori McClure I have been teaching in Forsyth County for 29 years. I have taught at 3 schools-Sawnee, Matt, and Silver City. I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades! I love being a Comet and am excited to begin another year teaching 2nd grade. 350312
Meg Papp I hold a Master's Degree in Education from University of N. GA. This is my 21st year teaching in the classroom. My heart is to see children grow in their learning and to support their social and emotional health. I have been married for 30 years and have two beautiful adult children and a sweet dog named Zeke. 350306
Amanda Studt This upcoming school year will be my 20th year of teaching! I am so excited to join the Silver City family! I graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a teaching degree in 2001. I have been teaching in Forsyth County since 2005. My husband, Craig, and I live in Cumming, GA with our son, Carson, and our daughter, Annika. Carson and Annika will be coming to Silver City for the new school year too! In my spare time, I like to exercise and have fun with my family. 350315
