I am a graduate of the University of North Georgia where I received my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, as well as my reading endorsement. I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade again this year! In my free time I enjoy being at the pool, shopping, and spending time with family, friends, and my two sweet fur babies- Wednesday and Ralphie!

Carlie Nix Mrs. Nix is going into her sixth year teaching 2nd grade. She received her bachelors in Elementary Education/Early Childhood Education at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She has attended multiple professional development seminars that help her support her students in the best way possible. Some of those include trainings for Seesaw, myOn, brainPOP, EnVision Math, and much more. In her spare time she loves to go on walks with her husband Calvin, son William, daughter Lilly, and her puppy Layla. She is excited for this upcoming school year and the chance to keep learning along side her students. I have taught K, 2nd, 4th, and gifted. I am excited to be teaching 4th grade. I work to foster a love for learning in each child that I teach. I have a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College, and Master of Education from Lesley University. I received my gifted endorsement in 2007. My husband, Kevin, and I have two children, Joel and Rebecca, that are the light of our lives. We have three furry babies Luke, Hazel, and Harmony. This will be my 11th year teaching and my 6th year as a Comet. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Special Education along with a reading endorsement in 2012 from NGCSU , my Master’s degree from Valdosta State University in 2017 and just recently earned my math endorsement through Forsyth County Schools. I have teaching experience in Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd grade. There is nothing better than watching my students grow in their excitement for learning while taking ownership of our classroom!
