Matt Aycock - P.E. I have been teaching since 2010. I spent 5 years as an EBI teacher before becoming a PE teacher in 2015. I have been lucky enough to be at Silver City my entire teaching career. I love helping students learn how to be respectful, responsible and have integrity in a competitive setting while also trying to help students discover a passion for being physically active. I am also the JV head coach and assistant varsity coach for the North Forsyth Lady Raiders basketball team. I love spending time with my wife Annie and our three children, Coralee, Molly Kate, and Baylor, as well as spending time with my small group (Shout Out MOW'N) and cheering on Duke basketball.

I hold a bachelor's from the University of Georgia and a master's from the University of West Florida. I began teaching in 2005 and fell in love with guiding students to learn and discover. I am the Head 9th Grade Football Coach at North Forsyth and love watching and playing most any sports. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Southeastern University and am SO passionate about fostering a love for music and the arts in our Silver City community. In music, you can expect to play instruments, sing, dance, and create. Our 4th & 5th graders can join chorus and extend their music learning through choral singing and performing in a large musical production. I love my family - Mr. Leaphart, our son Rhodes, and our daughter Brighton! This will be my 5th year as the STEM Teacher and 15 years in education. I obtained my bachelor's degree is in "Liberal Studies" from San Jose State University and my master's degree is in "Instructional Technology" from AIU (American Intercontinental University). My teaching credential with BCLAD is from CAPOLY State University in San Luis Obispo. I am also STEM and Gifted certified through Gwinnett and Forsyth County. I have a Comet who will be in 2nd grade at SCES and a son who will be in 8th grade at North Forsyth Middle!
