Originally from southern California, I moved to north Georgia from Virginia in 2000. I have taught everything from pre-K through sixth grade over the past 30+ years, and now have my dream job as the Science specialist. I am married and have 2 grown children. I enjoy learning new things, cooking, travelling, spending time with my family, and cheering for the Virginia Tech Hokies! I have spent several summers at Jekyll Island and love supporting the Sea Turtle Center there. I believe science should be experienced not just read about, and Albert Einstein said it best, “Play is the highest form of research”. The best part of my job is seeing students discover something for the first time!
