    SPECIAL NOTICE: 

    Free and Reduced-priced meal benefit reminder – The grace period for free and reduced-price meal benefits expires on September 13th.  If your family receives these benefits and has not completed an application for this school year, your child’s meal benefits will revert to full paid on September 13th.  To avoid a disruption in meal benefits, please go to to complete an on-line application or obtain an application from your cafeteria manager, the school’s front office or from the Hill center.

    The student lunch meal offers 5 meal components (an Entree that includes a meat/meat alternate and whole grains, fruit, vegetable, and milk). The meal is sold as a unit for the meal prices indicated above and students must select at least 3 of the meal components from the many choices offered, declining no more than 2 meal components.

    The student breakfast meal offers an entree of whole grains or whole grains and protein source, 4 oz 100% juice, additional 1/2 cup serving of fruit, and milk. Based on preferences, students must select 3 of the meal components offered at breakfast.

    2.  How do I fund my child’s meal account?  There are several ways to fund a meal account:

    •     Pre-pay for meals online by using My School Bucks.
    •     Pre-pay for their meals by student bringing cash or check made out to Riverwatch Middle School or RMS and give to the cashier.
    •     Pay for their meals daily with cash at the cashier line.
    •     Apply for Free and Reduced Priced Meals:   

    A NEW Free & Reduced meal application must be completed each year.  The Free and Reduced Priced Meal Program is available to assist families during times of financial hardship. The School Nutrition Program accepts free and reduced meal applications throughout the entire school year. Students approved for free meals may eat one breakfast and lunch meal free each day. Additional foods/beverages selected above the standard meal must be purchased with additional funds at the a la carte price.

     3. Where is my student’s account balance from last year?

    If a student had a balance on their account at the end of last school year, that same balance will be available to them on the first day of school.  Parents do not need to request any “transfers” from the previous school to the new school.

     4. What happens if my student doesn't have funds to cover their lunch?
