    NFHS READS

As part of Forsyth County Schools' SAT Improvement Initiative, the staff of North Forsyth High School has developed a summer reading project that focuses not only on enjoyment and enrichment but that also ensures that reading skills are practiced and cultivated. The ultimate goal is to encourage reading. Using recommendations from our students, our teachers, and the American Library Association, we have compiled a summer reading list.  Whether you appreciate fiction or non-fiction, fantasy or science fiction, best sellers or inspirational books, we hope you find a book on this list that you will enjoy this summer.

    Project details:

    1. All students will choose one book from the appropriate grade level list below.
    2. After the third week of school, students will be given a writing assignment on their chosen book.
    3. The writing assignment will be entered in the grade book as a formative grade.
    4. Books for AP English students are NOT listed below.  These students should see the AP summer reading link on the school website.
