The Clinic is open from 8:15 am until 4:00 pm, in order to provide minor care to students in need. Ideally, the School Nurse's goal is to help make the student who visits the Clinic more comfortable so that they can return to class. Healthy children are successful learners. School nurses support the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of students and the success in the learning process. Our goal is to assist your students in staying healthy and recovering quickly to increase their time in the classroom; thus increasing their learning time.

If your student needs to check out early due to an illness they must visit the school nurse and call home from the clinic for their absence to be excused. If they call or text from their cell phones and then report to the clinic, this will be unexcused.

In the event the Clinic needs to reach you during the school day, please make sure that all contact phone numbers are updated in Parent Portal (under Demographics).  Consider adding the school's telephone number to your phone's Contact List so that "North Forsyth High School" will show up on your caller ID.

Please inform us of any chronic medical condition that could affect your child while at school.  There are care plans for specific conditions located in the "Health Forms" section of this web page.  Any others can be addressed by email.

The Clinic does not stock medications.  All medications (over-the-counter and prescription) for student use must be brought to school by a parent or guardian in the original container. If submitted for "as needed" use, these must be picked up before the last day of the school year.  No "once daily" or "twice daily" medications are given at school unless directed by a physician in writing.  Please see Forsyth County's "Request for Administration of Medications" form in the "Health Forms" section of this web page.

Please feel free to call the clinic with any questions or concerns you may have.

    Thank you,
    Nurse Renee
