I have been a part of the Forsyth County School System since 1995; all but one of those years have been at South Forsyth High School, what I consider to be the best school in the state. I started my career in the Social Studies and CTAE departments, but now I am blessed to work with the outstanding coaches that head our 23 varsity sports programs. My greatest satisfaction comes from the relationships that have been built with the community, staff members, and - most importantly - student athletes.

Prior to my time here, I served as Assistant Administrator at Alliance Academy, and was the Director of Bands and Fine Arts Department Chair at Lambert High School, Liberty Middle School, and Warner Robins High School.  Having led students in National and International Competitions and Performances (including  Rome, Italy, London, England, and twice aboard cruise ships), I am passionate about student success, both inside and outside of the classroom and helping students find a way to connect to their school community. I am thrilled to begin a new chapter in my educational journey at South Forsyth High School. After spending many years in Gwinnett County as an assistant principal, I am eager to share my passion for education with the students and teachers of South. Building positive connections with students is a priority. Supporting teachers so they can shine in the classroom is essential. Encouraging open communication with families is the key to success. While I earned my college degrees in Florida, I have called Georgia home for many years. I have two sons who will be attending Forsyth County Schools so I have a vested interest in the continued success of the school system. Welcome! I am excited to begin my 19th year at SFHS. I received my MA in History from the University of Illinois at Chicago. As an AP U.S. History teacher, I specialized in writing and performing American History songs to energize my classroom. My wife, Kristin, and I, along with our two children, reside in Forsyth County.
