Mrs. Christie Cha
Mrs. Cha earned her Bachelor’s degree at Auburn University, she then earned Master’s and Specialist degrees from Piedmont College in Curriculum and Instruction. She also has a Math endorsement. She has 25 years of experience teaching kindergarten and second grade. This will be her second year at Johns Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Downing has taught a variety of grade levels from pre-k to second grade in both California and Georgia. This will be her 27th year of teaching. She graduated from California State Hayward University with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and holds a California Teaching Credential. This will be her eleventh year teaching second grade here at Johns Creek.

Miss Serfontein earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education at the University of North Georgia. This is her first-year teaching, but is very familiar with JCE as she was a student teacher here last year! She is so excited to be here at Johns Creek Elementary! Go Jaguars!

Miss Tessa Schubiger
Miss Schubiger is excited to be part of the 2nd grade team at Johns Creek Elementary this school year. Prior to joining the Jaguar staff, she was an Instructional Assistant at Chestatee Elementary in Forsyth County. She holds an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education as part of the University of North Georgia’s Teacher Candidate Residency Program. She is so excited to be a Jaguar this year and work with your child and family
