Coach Murphy attended Clemson University before transferring and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Florida. She also holds her Master’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of North Georgia. She has taught Health & PE as a paraprofessional in Forsyth County for the last five years. This will be Coach Murphy’s first year at JCE. “Go Jaguars!”

Ms. Coleman has a BS in Art Education from Kennesaw State University.  This will be ther 22nd year in education.  She previously taught high school art for ten years in Cherokee County.  She has been in Forsyth County for the past 11 years,  first as a special needs assistant, and the past 5 as an Art teacher here at JCE. This will be her sixth year at JCE.

Mrs. Hodges holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University.   Mrs. Hodges has received her ESOL Endorsement.  Mrs. Hodges is level one Orfff-Schulwerk certified.  She also holds a Teacher Leader Endorsement.  She has taught music for ten years.  Prior to teaching in Forsyth County, she taught in Fulton County.  This will be her fifth year here at Johns Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Amy Yellott - Synergy

Mrs. Yellott holds a Masters of Teaching Degree from Brenau University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Adminstration and a Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University of Georgia. She has endorsements in gifted,  ELL, and special education.  She taught fifth grade for 6 years and is beginning her fourth year as the Synergy Studio coordinator.  Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Gwinnett County.  This will be her tenth year here at Johns Creek.

Mrs. Reichling graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  With more than 20 years of teaching experience, this will be her 18th year teaching the Early Intervention Program in Forsyth County.   She loves working with small groups of children and hasvbeen at Johns Creek Elementary since the day it opened.

Mrs. Howington is one of Johns Creek’s Gifted 1-5th grade teachers. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Education from North Georgia College (1993) and a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist/Coach from Georgia State University. She has taught REP (Remedial Education Program) grades 1-5, EIP (K, 1, 3), K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade, and 4th-5th grade Gifted Social Studies. Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Gwinnett County. Mrs. Howington is an original John’s Creek Jaguar as she helped open our school 13 years ago.

Miss Crocker earned her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University and a Master's Degree in K-12 Classroom Technology Integration from Walden University. She earned her gifted teaching endorsement from Coastal Carolina University. She has taught second, fourth, and fifth grades in NC, SC, and GA. This will be Miss Crocker’s 8th year at JCE, where she has taught 4th grade, Technology specials, and supported the Media Center. She is excited for this new adventure with the JCE gifted program!

Mrs. Crabb holds a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Collaborative Special Education from the University of Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University. She began at Gwinnett County working as in interrelated teacher for two years. She then moved to Dekalb County and worked as an interrelated teacher for grades 1-5 in a Montessori setting. This will be her third year at Johns Creek Elementary.

Ms. Heflin holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. She also received a teaching certification in Middle Grades Math (5-9), ESE (K-12), ESOL Endorsement, and Reading Endorsement. She taught sixth through twelfth  grade for 6 years. This is her 13th year working as a Speech-Language Pathologist.  Prior to Forsyth County, she worked in Florida, Maryland, and Hawaii as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Maria Shrewsbury has a Bachelor’s in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorder from The University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and a master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA.  This is her fourth year as a Speech-Language Pathologist and her third year at JCE. Mrs. Clements is a graduate of Iowa State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  She has experience teaching 5th grade Reading. She also has her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology through Idaho State University. She has 10 years of experience working closely with students and their families on speech and language needs. She looks forward to many years of facilitating speech and language growth in students at JCE.
