Mrs. Molly Murphy - Physical Education
Coach Murphy attended Clemson University before transferring and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Florida. She also holds her Master’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of North Georgia. She has taught Health & PE in Forsyth County for the last six years. This will be Coach Murphy’s fourth year at JCE. “Go Jaguars!”

Mrs. Pam Handley - P.E. Instructional Assistant
Mrs. Handley is originally from Oswego, New York but has resided in Georgia for the past 12 years. She holds an AS degree in Interior Design from Seminole State College, Fl as well as a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, Ga. She taught for 5 years in the Cobb County School District and this will be her 9th year of teaching. During her teaching career she also obtained her Reading and Gifted Endorsements. She completed the STEM cohort at Kennesaw State University. This will be her fifth year at Johns Creek

Ms. Mindi Coleman - Art
Ms. Coleman has a BS in Art Education from Kennesaw State University. This will be her 23nd year in education. She previously taught high school art for ten years in Cherokee County. She has been in Forsyth County for the past 12 years, first as a special needs assistant, and the past 6 as an Art teacher here at JCE. This will be her seventh year at JCE.

Mrs. Megan Hodges - Music
Mrs. Hodges holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Hodges has received her ESOL Endorsement. Mrs. Hodges is level one Orfff-Schulwerk certified. She also holds a Teacher Leader Endorsement. She has taught music for twelve years. Prior to teaching in Forsyth County, she taught in Fulton County. This will be her seventh year here at Johns Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Amy Yellott - Synergy
Mrs. Yellott holds a Masters of Teaching Degree from Brenau University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Adminstration and a Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University of Georgia. She has endorsements in gifted, ELL, and special education. She taught fifth grade for 6 years and is beginning her fifth year as the Synergy Studio coordinator. Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Gwinnett County. This will be her eleventh year here at Johns Creek.

Ms. Morris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Elementary from the University of West Georgia. She has taught Reading Recovery, ESOL, first grade, and Kindergarten over the past 26 years in education. This will be her fourth year here at JCE.

Mrs. Rachael Davis - ELL
Mrs. Davis is thrilled to join our JCE Jaguar Family! She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Governors University. Mrs. Davis is certified in ESOL and Special Education, grades P-12. She has taught ESOL in WA as a Para-Educator and has had the opportunity to serve our Forsyth County School District as a substitute teacher. Mrs. Davis is looking forward to a FANTASTIC year!

Mrs. Christine Pendleton - EIP
Mrs. Pendleton holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College. She has taught first through fourth grade for 26 years. Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Tennessee. This will be her eleventh year here at Johns Creek.

Mrs. Ashlee Howington - Gifted
Mrs. Howington is one of Johns Creek's Gifted 1st-5th grade teachers. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia College (1993) and a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist/Coach from Georgia State University. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Howington has taught REP (Remedial Education Program) for grades 1-5, EIP (Early Intervention Program) for Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades, and has experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. She has also taught Gifted Social Studies for 4th-5th grades. Before joining Forsyth County, Mrs. Howington taught in Gwinnett County. Mrs. Howington is an original John’s Creek Jaguar as she helped open our school in 2007.

Ms. Anne Rachels
Ms. Rachels earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The University of Georgia in Early Childhood Education. She also has endorsements in ESOL and Gifted Education. She has experience teaching pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first, and second grades. While staying home with her children, she taught pre-school as well. She previously taught second grade here at JCE and this will be her first year teaching Gifted.

Mrs. Lisa Stark
Lisa Stark joins the JCES staff this 2024-25 school year as a teacher to students in the third, fourth, and fifth grade gifted education program. Lisa began her career teaching middle school in Gwinnett County, and then transferred to Forsyth in 1999. Lisa has enjoyed a rewarding career teaching academically talented and gifted students in several different elementary and middle schools in Forsyth. Lisa earned an educational specialist degree from the University of Georgia in Educational Psychology: Gifted and Creative Studies. She also holds the school leadership add-on and has served in several positions in school leadership.

Mrs. Kelly Shadburn - Skills Based K-2 Autism
My name is Kelly Shadburn. Mrs Shadburn received her Bachelors Degree in Early Elementary Education and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. She also holds certification for Adaptive Curriculum. This is her sixth year at Johns Creek Elementary as the Skills Based Autism K-2 teacher.

Mrs. Amy Huddle - Skills Based K-2 Autism
Mrs. Huddle is dual certified in Elementary Education and Special Education. Her previous teaching years were spent working with children as a Georgia Pre-k teacher in a private day care, and as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in Forsyth County. She is excited to be returning to Johns Creek as a Skills Based Autism teacher and can’t wait to share her love of teaching with her students and JCE family!

Miss Ashley Thompson - Skills Based Autism
Ms. Thompson is originally from New Jersey. She moved to the south to get her bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama. She previously worked as an Instructional Assistant at Daves Creek Elementary. This will be her first year teaching at JCE.
