Mrs. Molly Murphy - Physical Education
Coach Murphy attended Clemson University before transferring and earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Florida. She also holds her Master’s Degree in Physical Education from the University of North Georgia. She has taught Health & PE in Forsyth County for the last six years. This will be Coach Murphy’s third year at JCE. “Go Jaguars!”

Ms. Mindi Coleman - Art
Ms. Coleman has a BS in Art Education from Kennesaw State University. This will be her 23nd year in education. She previously taught high school art for ten years in Cherokee County. She has been in Forsyth County for the past 12 years, first as a special needs assistant, and the past 6 as an Art teacher here at JCE. This will be her seventh year at JCE.

Mrs. Megan Hodges - Music
Mrs. Hodges holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Kennesaw State University. Mrs. Hodges has received her ESOL Endorsement. Mrs. Hodges is level one Orfff-Schulwerk certified. She also holds a Teacher Leader Endorsement. She has taught music for twelve years. Prior to teaching in Forsyth County, she taught in Fulton County. This will be her seventh year here at Johns Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Amy Yellott - Synergy
Mrs. Yellott holds a Masters of Teaching Degree from Brenau University as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Adminstration and a Juris Doctor (law degree) from the University of Georgia. She has endorsements in gifted, ELL, and special education. She taught fifth grade for 6 years and is beginning her fifth year as the Synergy Studio coordinator. Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Gwinnett County. This will be her eleventh year here at Johns Creek.

Ms. Anita Morris
Ms. Morris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Elementary from the University of West Georgia. She has taught Reading Recovery, ESOL, first grade, and Kindergarten over the past 26 years in education. She taught Kindergarten here at JCE last year and will be working with our EIP and ELL students this year.

Mrs. Rachael Davis - ELL
Mrs. Davis is thrilled to join our JCE Jaguar Family! She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Governors University. Mrs. Davis is certified in ESOL and Special Education, grades P-12. She has taught ESOL in WA as a Para-Educator and has had the opportunity to serve our Forsyth County School District as a substitute teacher. Mrs. Davis is looking forward to a FANTASTIC year!

Mrs. Alison Tworek - EIP
Mrs. Tworek holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree in Reading with a Reading Specialist certification from University of St. Francis. She has been an Instructional Coach, Reading Specialist, and a First Grade teacher over the last 17 years. This will be her second year at Johns Creek.

Mrs. Ashlee Howington - Gifted
Mrs. Howington is one of Johns Creek’s Gifted 1-5th grade teachers. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Education from North Georgia College (1993) and a Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist/Coach from Georgia State University. She has taught REP (Remedial Education Program) grades 1-5, EIP (K, 1, 3), K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade, and 4th-5th grade Gifted Social Studies. Prior to Forsyth County, she taught in Gwinnett County. Mrs. Howington is an original John’s Creek Jaguar as she helped open our school 13 years ago.

Mrs. Pam Handley
Mrs. Handley is originally from Oswego, New York but has resided in Georgia for the past 12 years. She holds an AS degree in Interior Design from Seminole State College, Fl as well as a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University, Ga. She taught for 5 years in the Cobb County School District and this will be her 9th year of teaching. During her teaching career she also obtained her Reading and Gifted Endorsements. She completed the STEM cohort at Kennesaw State University. This will be her fourth year at John’s Creek Elementary and first year as a Gifted Teacher.

My name is Kelly Shadburn. Mrs Shadburn received her Bachelors Degree in Early Elementary Education and Special Education from Grand Canyon University. She also holds certification for Adaptive Curriculum. This is her sixth year at Johns Creek Elementary as the Skills Based Autism K-2 teacher.

Ms. Napiorski earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Montclair State University in NJ. She has taught children with special needs for over 20 years. This is her fifth year with FCS.

Ms. Tara Heflin - Speech
Ms. Heflin holds a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Nova Southeastern University. She also received a teaching certification in Middle Grades Math (5-9), ESE (K-12), ESOL Endorsement, and Reading Endorsement. She taught sixth through twelfth grade for 6 years. This is her 13th year working as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Prior to Forsyth County, she worked in Florida, Maryland, and Hawaii as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This will be her fourth year at Johns Creek.
