Mr. David Reed, Administrative Assistant

Greetings!

It is my honor to be here at Piney Grove, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work and serve the amazing staff, students, and parents here, as we strive to help every student reach their full potential.

I am beginning my 22nd year as a professional educator, with the last 8 here a Piney Grove. Previous to my time at PGMS, I was at Lost Mountain Middle School in Cobb County, and Armstrong Middle School in Starkville, Mississippi. I have been fortunate to have a wide array of experiences in the classroom teaching; Physical Education, Health, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts, all at the middle school level.

I am originally from Starkville, Mississippi, and attended Mississippi State University were I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. I have a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama, and my Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia.

When I’m away from school, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Erica (8th grade teacher at North Forsyth Middle School), and our two children, Levi and Emmalyn. I also enjoy being bad at golf, being good at making BBQ, and being stressed watching Mississippi State sports.

I am looking forward to the opportunities the future holds for this school year, and I cannot wait to work with you to make Piney Grove Middle School the best it can be.

Sincerely,

David A. Reed, Assistant Administrator
