Mrs. Angley has been teaching for 26 years and has been at Brookwood since it opened in 2009. Mrs. Angley has always been passionate about education, and she strives to have a positive impact on the lives of the students she teaches and their families as well. She received her Bachelor's degree from St. John Fisher College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education and her Master's degree from Nazareth College in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. Mrs. Angley is looking forward to another terrific year at Brookwood!

Doctor B. has been teaching for more than 20 years—all in Forsyth County Schools. She is a former Forsyth County Teacher of the Year, and was a finalist for the 2010 Georgia Teacher of the Year. She has Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit, an Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, and a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Liberty University.  She loves teaching first grade!

Mrs. Chadwick

Mrs. Chadwick is looking forward to another amazing year in 1st grade at Brookwood Elementary! Mrs.Chadwick graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and received her Master's degree from UGA in Learning, Design, and Technology with an emphasis on Instructional Technology. She will graduate with her Specialist's degree in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement in December 2020. She loves teaching 1st grade and cannot wait for an incredible 2020-2021 school year!

Mrs. Huff is excited to begin her 5th year as a Brookwood Bobcat! She has been an educator for eleven years, having taught in DeKalb County and Chicago Public Schools before landing in Forsyth. Mrs. Huff obtained her Bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University and her Master's degree from Piedmont College - both degrees are in elementary education. First grade is FUN, and she can't wait for an awesmazing 2020-2021 school year!

Mrs. Mann is thrilled to have the opportunity to work with students to provide them with an academically enriching first-grade experience! She is originally from Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Mann obtained her B.S. degree in Early Childhood from Troy University and completed her Master's Program in ESOL at The University of Alabama. She has been teaching for 27 years and loves it. She is looking forward to an amazing 2020-21 school year.

Mrs. McCavitt

Mrs. McCavitt is entering her 21st year of teaching. She graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in Education and is certified to teach the alternate curriculum in Georgia. She has taught 5th grade general education, K-5 in the Mild Intellectual Disability classroom, and is starting her 4th year as the Autism teacher at Brookwood. Mrs. McCavitt is thrilled to teach in a classroom where she can begin to teach at the level where each child is. She loves teaching and exploring replacement behaviors and finding ways for all of her students to be the best version of themselves. Her experience at Brookwood has been some of the best years in her teaching career, and she looks forward to having another amazing year with her wonderful, talented, fun, and sweet students!

Ms. Popola

Ms. Popola is the newest Bobcat on the first grade team, and she is thrilled to be here! She was born and raised in Alpharetta, Georgia, and attended Kennesaw State University to pursue both an undergraduate and a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education. She graduated with her B.S. in December 2015 and with her M.Ed in July 2020. She also holds endorsements in reading and ESOL. During her five years as a teacher in North Fulton County, she taught both first and second grade. With a passion for meaningful technology-use and challenging students to reach their full potential, she welcomes the 2020-2021 school year with open arms!
