Ms. Angie Flannigan
My name is Angie Flannigan and I am so excited to be on the 4th grade team again at Brookwood! I graduated in 2023 from Kennesaw State University with my undergradute degree in Early Childhood Education, an ESOL Endorsement, and a Minor in Spanish and will be re-attending for my graduate degree this summer. My family and I have lived in Forsyth County for 11 years and, having attended middle and high school here, I am looking forward to continuing my teaching in the county. In my free time I love to read, paint, hike, and spend time with my family and friends. I am looking forward to my second year of teaching and couldn’t be more excited to work with the students, teachers, and staff at Brookwood!

Mrs. Hohlbein
Mrs. Hohlbein earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is currently working on her Educational Specialist Degree in Advanced Educational Studies. This year will mark her 19th year of teaching. She has taught grades 1, 2, 3, and 4 in Florida, Georgia, and Ohio; this is her 13th year in Forsyth County. She feels privileged to have the opportunity to work alongside you and your child this school year.

Ms. Huyer
Hello, Bobcats! My name is Patti Huyer. I'm excited for a new year at Brookwood with my amazing 4th graders. This is my 6th year teaching 4th grade, and I've also taught K, 1, and 2. I attended Michigan State University and hold a B.A. in Elementary Education with Minors in Spanish and Economics. I also hold an M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University and endorsements in Mentorship and Coaching. I am currently a student at Augusta University and will earn my Specialst in Elementary Education this spring. Beyond the classroom, I serve as a PBIS Coach and Literacy Leader at Brookwood. My husband Jeff and I have lived in Georgia for 20 years and love it! We have an 8th grade son, an 11th grade daughter, and a black cat named Smokey. We're busy with sports most weekends but love to play cards, board games, and travel together when we can! My passion as an educator is to help children grow in knowledge, responsibility, respect, self-confidence, curiosity, critical thinking, and kindness. It's going to be a great year together!

Hello Bobcats! My name is Laura Kopras. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and my Master's Degree from Northern Kentucky University. I earned my gifted endorsement in 2015. Currently I am working on my Specialist in Education degree and an ESOL endorsement from Augusta University. I have previously taught in Cincinnati, Ohio, at Big Creek Elementary and John's Creek Elementary in Forsyth County. I came to Brookwood when this amazing school opened in 2009. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, traveling, SEC sports, and reading. I have been teaching for 30 years and can't wait to have another fantastic year at Brookwood!

Hey Bobcats! My name is Emilie Phillips and I will be teaching 4th grade this year! I graduated in 2020 from Mercer University with a Bachelor's Degree in General and Special Education. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree from University of North Georgia in Curriculum and Instruction. I grew up here in Forsyth and graduate from Lambert High School, so it has been a dream of mine to come back and pour into your kiddos! I can't wait for an amazing year!

Mrs. Carrie Pribas
My name is Carrie Pribas. I graduated from Georgia State University with my Bachelor's and Masters's degrees in Early Childhood Education. I received my Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. I have been teaching for a total of 16 years. I taught 2nd grade for 10 years in both Gwinnett and Dekalb Counties, and 5 years, I taught 1st grade at Annunciation Day School in Atlanta. I have two children, Christina (20) and John (16). Christina attends the University of West Virginia, and John is a 10th graders at Johns Creek High School. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling (especially to the beach), reading, music, cooking, and shopping. I have enjoyed teaching 4th grade and being a part of the Brookwood Elementary Community!
