My name is Lisa Cole, and I am so excited to be on the 5th grade and Specials team here at Brookwood. I have a Bachelor's in Elementary Education with Gifted and ESOL Endorsements, and I am currently working on my Master's in Art Education at KSU. I previously taught 5th grade and 3rd grade in Barrow County, and this is my 3rd year at Brookwood. I look forward to many future years in Forsyth County! My family and I love this district and have made our home here. My husband, Scott, is the Science Olympiad State Director and a Science teacher at Forsyth Central High School, and my son attends school at Forsyth Central as well. We truly believe that education and family go hand-in-hand, and my focus at Brookwood is to teach and care for every student in my classroom family.

I am very excited about my sixth year of teaching at Brookwood Elementary. I graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I am committed to helping my students grow, and I look forward to the opportunities to learn from my students. It will be a great school year of learning, new adventures, and discoveries!

I am so excited to meet the next group of 5th graders. With a B.A. in Psychology from Fordham University and a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Western Governors University, I made a career change and become a teacher. I joined Brookwood in 2016, and have taught both 4th and 5th grade students. Helping my students to set and reach their academic goals is one of the most fulfilling parts of my job. My own children are now all grown! I have a daughter who is a clinical doctor of Audiology, another daughter who is a designer, and my youngest child is a college sophomore. I adopted 2 kittens during Covid, so I'm now also a cat person. In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to music, doing yoga, going to the golf range, and being with my family.

Mr. Leo is beginning his 24th year of teaching. He has four college degrees, including his Master's Degree in Education from Duquesne University and his specialist degree in leadership from Lincoln Memorial. He moved to Georgia from Pittsburgh in 2002 and taught in Gwinnett and Forsyth County school systems. This will be his 11th year as a Bobcat!

My name is Tamia McClain. I was originally born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and moved to Forsyth County in 2009. I graduated from the University of North Georgia. I have a dual degree in special and general education in grades P-5. I am so thrilled to announce that I'll be teaching 5th grade again this school year. I am so excited to start my third year as a Bobcat!!

I'm very excited to start my second year here at BES. This will be my 3rd year teaching in Forsyth County. I'm originally from Jacksonville, Florida where I taught for 8 years. Outside of school, I spend almost all of my time with my wife and daughter. I'm looking forward to teaching 5th grade again this year.

I am very excited to start my 4th year as a Bobcat and 4th year in 5th grade. This will be my 11th year in Forsyth County - I was a parapro at Kelly Mill Elementary before moving to Brookwood! I graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am looking forward to another great year in 5th grade! You can find me at the ball field when I'm not in the classroom, either watching my husband coach football - Go West!- or cheering on our daughter as she cheers on the Lanier Lions. We have a 10 year old Australian Cattle dog, Boone, who loves to snuggle and give kisses. I LOVE college football and spending time with my family at home or the beach!
