My passion is art! I have drawn, painted, and studied art my whole life. Now I love teaching your children about the wonderful world of visual art. I earned a BFA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach. For several years, I worked at a contemporary art museum during the day and freelanced as an illustrator by night. When I turned my attention to education, I earned multiple certifications from the Cal State system, a master’s in education from Troy University, and a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. I taught Art at Mary Butler Magnet School for Visual and Performing Arts in Long Beach, California for five years. I have been the art teacher at Brookwood since we opened the school. This will be my 25th year in education. It has been a joy to teach here at Brookwood!

As the Instructional Technology Specialist, I have the privilege of working with everyone at Brookwood. My favorite part is working with students, especially when I get to see their excitement when they accomplish something new. The excitement on their faces keeps me energized and proud to be a member of the Brookwood Family.
