Welcome to Kindergarten! I am a graduate of the University of Georgia and I have been in the education field for 22 years. My husband and I have two wonderful sons. My oldest son attends UNG and my youngest will be a freshman at North Forsyth High. I am so excited to start my ninth-year teaching at Haw Creek Elementary! I'm Priscilla Carter. This is my third year at Haw Creek Elementary. I have been teaching for 12 years. I am super excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year. I have previously taught kindergarten for 5 years in Fulton County schools. Here is a little about me: I have been married for 27 years and I have 7 girls and 4 boys and a 2 year old Boxer named Zeus. I love watching basketball, soccer, football and baseball. My favorite teams are the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears and others. I love cooking and baking. I enjoy spending time with my family and going cruising with my sister. I am looking forward to working with a great Kindergarten team for this year.

Hello Huskies! This will be my third year at Haw Creek. I have a Master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern University in Early Childhood Education and have taught both public and private Kindergarten. I have been married to my husband Brian for over 25 years and we have 4 children. Next year we will have two in college, one in middle, and one in high school. We enjoy traveling during the summer months, playing games and just spending time together, along with our two dogs, Millie and Lucky. In my free time I love playing games with friends/family and going out to eat!

Entering my 30th year in education, I have dedicated my professional life to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. I am dedicated to enhancing students’ communicative skills and instilling a lifelong love of reading.

When not at school, I spend time with my family, embark on new adventures through travel, enjoy concerts by my favorite bands, and curl up with good books. I seek to live my best life and find new ways to inspire the same passion in our students.

I am a graduate of University of South Florida with an elementary education degree. I taught in Florida for 5 years and then moved to Forsyth County. I have taught for additional 17 years in Cumming, beginning at Big Creek Elementary and then opening Haw Creek in 2009. I have a daughter that is entering her junior year of college at Jacksonville State University, and a son who is a freshman at Forsyth Central High School. I am looking forward to an amazing year!
