Hi, my name is Laura Berger, and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade again this year! This will be my 23rd year in education; I have taught at Haw Creek since 2015. I have taught every grade except 5th, but 2nd is definitely my favorite! Second Graders are like little sponges and learn so quickly! I have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Oglethorpe University and my Master's degree in ECE from University of Georgia. My husband and I are both from the Atlanta area and are University of Georgia alums. Go Dawgs!! We have two grown children, Jacob and Olivia who are both FCSS graduates. I am looking forward to a fun school year at Haw Creek!!

Hi, my name is Lesley Land and I am so excited to be returning to Haw Creek this year to teach 2nd grade. I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Elementary Education. I also have my Masters in Reading Instruction from The University of West Georgia. Most of my experience is in elementary school but I have also taught middle school and pre-school as well. My husband, Tommy, and I just celebrated 25 years of marriage and we have 2 children. Will is 21 and attends The University of Tennessee and Rachel is 19 and attends Auburn University. We have a sweet Scottie pup named Rosie that we all adore.

I like to be outside hiking, kayaking, and working in the yard. I love yoga too! 

Haw Creek is such a special place, and I am thrilled to be back. I cannot wait to meet my new students and spend the year learning and growing together!

After 28 years of teaching in kindergarten, Gifted and EIP, I love teaching 2nd grade.
Along with my masters and leadership degrees I am gifted endorsed, ESOL endorsed and certified in Orton Gillingham. Spending time with my family is my favorite pass time. We are HUGE UGA football fans! This summer I will spend most of my time reading on the beach in Mexico Beach Florida. But, I promise to be back in August for the 2024-2025 school year!

This will be my 28th year of teaching which 26 of those years have been in Forsyth County. I have my Master degree in Early Childhood Education from Oglethorpe University and my undergraduate educational degree from Florida Atlantic University. I have been at Haw Creek Elementary since it opened. I have two boys. My older son is playing minor league baseball and my younger son will be a senior at Mercer University studying civil engineering. I am looking forward to a great year in 2nd grade.

My name is Nancy Reynolds. I absolutely love being a teacher and second grade is my passion. This is my 12th year at Haw Creek and my 20th year of teaching. My husband Larry and I have 3 wonderful children. In my free time, I love to dance, shop and watch horror movies. The most important thing in my classroom is that I create a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable and loved. I look forward to the next school year and getting to know my students.

Welcome to 2nd grade! I am so thrilled to be teaching your child this year! This will be my 13th year teaching, and it is truly my passion. I graduated from UGA-GO Dawgs! Since then, I have gotten my masters and gifted endorsement. My husband Matt and I live in Sugar Hill with our almost 4 year old son, Meyers and almost 1 year old daughter, Lynnlee. We love spending time in our backyard and at the beach as a family. I am looking forward to a spectacular second grade year and cannot wait to meet you!

Welcome to 2nd grade! This will be my third year of teaching in 2nd grade! I graduated from Brenau University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement. I was fortunate enough to grow up here in Forsyth County and I am thrilled to give back to my community! When I am not teaching you can find me spending time with family and friends, snuggling with my three pups Vannah, Sadie and Max, or enjoying all things related to Disney!
