I am so excited to start another great school year at Haw Creek. I have been at Haw Creek since it opened, and before that, I was a teacher in Coral Springs, Florida. I have taught all grades from Kindergarten through fifth grade! I attended the University of Florida. Go Gators! I live in Cumming and have two wonderful sons. Jake is a KSU alumni and Max recently graduated from UCF, in Orlando. We have a dog named Joy who we adore and spoil rotten! This is going to be a great year!

I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade this year! This will be my 7th year at Haw Creek. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. I worked for several years in government affairs and later earned my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education at Mercer University.

I am from Cumming and went to Forsyth County schools! I even grew up right here on Echols Road! Together, my husband and I have 17 year old twins named Charlie and Will, and a 14 year old named Jack. All of my boys attend Forsyth Central High School. We are big fans of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves and love watching games together. I am looking forward to a fun year together!

I am looking forward to starting my 17th year of teaching. Although not consecutive, this is my 12th year at Haw Creek. After teaching at Dave’s Creek for one year, I moved to Haw Creek when the school opened in 2009. In 2018, I moved to Riverwatch middle school to teach 7th grade math and then returned home to Haw Creek last year – I am so happy to be here! I am originally from CT and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a BS in Finance. I also received an MBA through the University of New Haven. After moving to Georgia in 2004, I earned my Master’s in Education from the University of Phoenix. my husband Alex and I have two children, Emily and Annie. Both are graduates of the University of Georgia – Go Dawgs! Emily is a Physician Assistant in Atlanta and Annie is a graphic designer in NYC. Our dog Ollie is 9, but still acts like a puppy – he has us very well trained! I am looking forward to another great school year!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, and playing with my two German Shepherds, Luna and Thor. The fifth grade team is looking forward to another great year at HCES

Hello! I'm excited to be teaching 5th grade this year!

 
I graduated from the University of Alabama with a Masters in Healthcare Management and a Masters in Business Administration. I spent ten years in healthcare consulting before beginning my second career as a math teacher. I began teaching 5th grade at Haw Creek in 2013. I left for a few years to teach 7th grade math at Riverwatch Middle School but I'm so happy to be back in elementary!

My husband, Charlie, and I have two kids who keep us very busy! Garrett is a junior at Georgia Southern. Olivia will be a freshman at Georgia College and State University. We also have two cats, Ginny and Phoebe, and two Golden Retrievers, Rosie and Daisy. You will see Daisy at Haw Creek as she is a member of our Husky Pack Therapy Dog program.

In my free time, I love to play tennis, go for walks, cook dinners for family and friends and just enjoy quiet time at home!

Welcome to 5th grade! Not many people can say this, but I was born and raised in Atlanta, and have lived in Georgia my entire life except for a brief two years in Richmond, Va. This year will be my 19th year of teaching. I attended the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!!) and also have a graduate degree from Georgia State. Together, my husband and I have four wonderful kids - all products of Forsyth County schools. Needless to say, they keep us on our toes! I'm looking forward to another great year at Haw Creek :)

Hello Haw Creek Huskies! My name is Lara Leigh Pullano. This year will be my 22nd year of teaching. I attended Valdosta State University for my undergrad and later transferred and graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University. In addition, I also have my Masters in Reading & Math from Walden University. I have been happily married to my husband, Kyle, for 16 years! We have one daughter, Addison, who is very excited to be a 8th grader at Lakeside Middle School. Winnie is our 6-year-old cockapoo that loves to snuggle. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends and family, watch my daughter dance with her competition team, and relax on my porch. We also have a lot of fun and laughs around the Pullano house! I am looking forward to another great year at Haw Creek!

I am very excited to begin my 11th year at Haw Creek Elementary and my 21st year teaching! I am very passionate about teaching 5th grade and will be teaching math, science and social studies! My husband and I have three very active boys. Jackson will be a Senior and Bryson will be a 9th grader at Forsyth Central. My youngest, Cason, will be a 6th grader at Lakeside Middle. My family spends most of our free time at the baseball fields with all 3 boys playing! We love camping, boating, visiting Universal Studios and anything outdoors. I am so excited for the 2024-2025 school year!
