I am a Forsyth County native and attended Big Creek and Daves Creek Elementary Schools, South Forsyth Middle School and graduated from South Forsyth High School in 2006. I attended North Georgia College and State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a Reading Endorsement in 2010 and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education with a Gifted Endorsement in 2012. I look forward to continue working as an IRR teacher in the upper grades this year. I completed my undergraduate degree at Georgia State University in Early Childhood Education in 1993 and my Master’s degree in Special Education at Brenau University in 2014. I will complete the coursework for my Specialist degree in Special Education at the Univ of West GA during this school year. I have worked in Forsyth County for 14 years as a general education teacher in third and fourth grade, and as an IRR teacher serving children from kindergarten through fifth grade. I’m a graduate of Emory University and hold degrees in both Psychology and Religion. My teaching degree is from Georgia Southern University, and I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction: Integrating the Arts, from Lesley University. My husband and I have one daughter, now a senior in college, and one fur baby. We all enjoy hiking, reading, or just hanging out as a family! I Bachelor's in Special Education from Valdosta University and a Master's in Special Education from Walden University. I have two children - a daughter, Sarah who lives in Hahira, Ga and a son, Marvin, who is a senior at North Forsyth High School. I have a fiancee, Chris, and we enjoy riding motorcycles (yes, I ride my own), camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I have just completed my 10th year here. The past 23 years I have been providing Speech Therapy to many children and adults. I have been an Occupational Therapist for the past 20 years (17 years in the pediatric setting) and have worked and travelled all around the world. I love to see children grow and learn in all areas of development. My husband and I met in Cumming, GA and have two beautiful children. Eli (9 years old) and Gracyn (2 years old). I was born and raised in South Africa and moved to the United States in 2003. My passions are being an OT and spending time with my family.
