I graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a degree in Elementary Education and later earned a master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Georgia Southern University. I started my career in Texas in 2002 teaching sixth grade. After moving to Georgia in 2007, I worked in Fulton County as an elementary school general education and gifted program teacher, and most recently I have been teaching math at South Forsyth Middle School.  My husband Ryan and I have two children: Nolan, who will be a freshman at South Forsyth High School, and Lauren, who will be a fourth grader at Haw Creek.

This is my 14th year teaching and my 10th year at Haw Creek. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and have a gifted endorsement. My three sons, Andrew, Zach, and Jake, all went to school at Haw Creek. Jake is a sophomore at Georgia College. Andrew graduated from UGA and Zach is a senior at UGA. My husband Steve and I enjoy scuba diving. I have two step daughters, Becca and Merritt. 

I am looking forward to a fantastic year teaching gifted at HCES!
