Mrs. Butler is a kindergarten teacher at Chestatee. This is her 13th year at Chestatee and her 5th year of teaching kindergarten. Mrs. Butler holds a B.S. from Southern Polytechnic State University and earned a M.Ed. from North Georgia College and State University. Teaching kindergarten students is where her heart lies, and she is always willing to answer any concerns parents may have. It is going to be a great year in kindergarten!
Mrs. Kelley Crandall’s is a graduate of The University of West Florida with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. This will be her 19th year teaching, and has been here at Chestatee for 9 years. Although she has taught kindergarten through eighth grade, kindergarten is her favorite. She is the mother of a fifth grader at Chestatee and strives to help both the parents and her students adjust to the new expectations of elementary school. Mrs. Crandall believes that communication is key to a successful year and can’t wait to meet her new class and their families.
Leah Duval is so excited to be a part of the Kindergarten team. She has worked in the Private Pre-Kindergarten setting, and 3rd Grade in public education. She and her husband, Rick, have two girls (one who will attend 1st grade at Chestatee, and the other who will be in 7th grade at NFMS). They love spending time outdoors. Her gifts to teaching are a big heart and having a strong enthusiasm for creating life long learners. She can’t wait for next year!
Amy Beth Garrett
This will be Amy Beth Garrett's 25 year teaching at Chestatee. She received her Bachelor's Degree from UGA, her teaching Certificate from WGC, her Masters from NGC, and her Specialist Degree from Lesley University. She has taught both kindergarten and 2nd grade at Chestatee. She looks forward to the new school year and the excitement and learning that will happen this year.
Mrs. Christy Mooneyham is a graduate of the University of North Georgia with both a Bachelor and Masters degree, and this is her eighteenth year of teaching. She is certified in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She has experience in special education (k-4th), kindergarten and first grades. She truly believes that children are a joy and are our greatest gifts. She always keeps in mind how she would want her own child treated in a situation, and works hard to maintain fairness, discipline, and high expectations. She and her husband have four children and they love the Chestatee community! Mrs. Mooneyham looks forward to meeting her Kindergarten Students!
This will be Alicia Tilden's 16th year of teaching and 6th year at Chestatee. Mrs. Tilden received her Bachelor's degree from GA Southern University in Middle Grades education and her Master's from Mercer University in Elementary education. She has had the wonderful opportunity to teach fifth, third, second grades, and kindergarten. This is her 8th year year teaching kindergarten. She loves being a part of the family at Chestatee!
This will be Mrs. Wade's 17th year at Chestatee Elementary and her 26th year as an educator. Mrs. Wade attended Auburn University and North Georgia College and State University and earned a B.S. Degree in Special Education and a M.A.ED. in Early Childhood Education. She has thoroughly enjoyed teaching kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades! Mrs. Wade is extremely excited to teach kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year!
Ms. Wilkinson is beyond thrilled to be teaching at Chestatee Elementary this year. This will be her fifth year teaching kindergarten and she wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! Ms. Wilkinson graduated from Neumann University with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She is super excited to meet her new group of kiddos and their families. Every day will be full of excitement, learning, and challenges. She will do whatever is needed to make your children feel safe and happy at school. She is looking forward to an amazing year!
Ms. Zimmerer is very excited to be teaching kindergarten at Chestatee Elementary this year! She recieved her Bachlors Degree in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Elementary Literacy from Western Carolina University. She has taught for six years, three in kindergarten adn three in First grade in North Carolina and Georgia. She loves making learning fun and engaging, while ensuring that she meets the needs of all her students. She loves teaching Kindergarten and instilling a love for learning at a young age.
