Dayna Bennett

Leslie Butler
Leslie Butler is a First Grade Teacher with 21 years of experience of teaching elementary students. She earned a B.S. from Southern Polytechnic State University and an M. Ed. From North Georgia College & State University. This is her 16th year at Chestatee. Mrs. Butler’s teaching experiences include Kindergarten, Special Education, Title I, Early Intervention Program, and First Grade.

Faye Cherico
This is Faye Cherico’s second year teaching at Chestatee Elementary. She is a recent graduate of the University of North Georgia where she obtained her degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Ms. Cherico believes in building positive and loving relationships with each of her students to instill a love of learning and be a support throughout their learning journey. Ms. Cherico attended Forsyth County schools for her elementary, middle, and high school years and is now so excited to continue to be a part of this community at Chestatee!

Diana Gore
Diana Gore is excited to be teaching first grade again. Mrs. Gore obtained her bachelor’s degree with honors from Kennesaw State University and her master’s degree in education from Mercer University. She has taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade, and taught summer school (and worked as a long-term sub) in third through fifth grade. She has served as science chair, math expert, and as an EIP teacher. Diana’s gifts to teaching are developing positive relationships and helping all students to feel loved, valued, and safe. Her love for learning is contagious. Diana is proud and thankful to be a Chestatee Eagle!

Beth Shelton
This is Beth Shelton's 22nd year of teaching. Mrs. Shelton received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Auburn University. She has taught both general and special education in various grade levels. Mrs. Shelton is very excited for the new year!

Amy Triche
This will be Mrs. Triche's 24th year of teaching. Mrs. Triche has received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and also has her Gifted Endorsement. Mrs. Triche has taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Mrs. Triche is married with 2 grown daughters and 2 dogs. Mrs. Triche loves being part of the Chestatee family.Ext. 722231

Penny Wade
This will be Penny Wade's 20th year at Chestatee Elementary. She has previously taught at Chattahoochee Elementary and Matt Elementary. Mrs. Wade attended Auburn University and North Georgia College and State University. She has a bachelor's of science in Special Education and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Wade has taught kindergarten for 19 years, first grade for 6 years, and second grade for 4 years. She will be teaching first grade for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year and she loves being a part of the Chestatee Elementary family!
