Cierra Cappon
This will be Cierra Cappon's fourth year at Chestatee Elementary. Ms. Cappon received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of North Georgia and her Master's degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont University. Ms. Cappon has had the pleasure of teaching special education for 4th grade and kindergarten along with 4th grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. She is excited to support and serve her 2nd graders this year! Ms. Cappon is a graduate of Forsyth County Schools and loves being able to give back to the community. She loves to spend time with her dog, Gino, kayaking, and paddle boarding on Lake Lanier. Ms. Cappon loves being a part of the Chestatee family!

Sarah Chewning
Sarah Chewning has been teaching at Chestatee for fourteen years and she has a total of 20 years in education. She is currently teaching second grade. She has taught in Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third grades. She graduated from Forsyth County High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Georgia State University. She then obtained a teaching certificate and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Brenau University. Later, she received a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She loves teaching second grade at the "T".

Sierra Chapman
Sierra Chapman is a first year teacher and she is so excited to be joining the family at Chestatee! Ms. Chapman recently graduated from the University of North Georgia and earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She looks forward to meeting her new students and having an amazing year!

Theresa Hall
This will be Theresa Hall's 15th year teaching. She received her bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University. Go Mountaineers!!! She also has her gifted endorsement. Mrs. Hall has taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. She loves teaching and making a difference in the lives of her students!

Alexis Koch
This will be Alexis Koch’s first year teaching at Chestatee. Ms. Koch received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of West Georgia and her Specialist degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Piedmont College. She is eagerly back in school completing her Tier I leadership certification to grow as an educator. Alexis has had the opportunity to teach first and second grade for the past six years. She is very excited to be joining the staff and can’t wait to teach second grade this year.

Bonnie Lee
Bonnie Lee is excited to be joining the Second Grade team for the 2022-2023 school year. Mrs. Lee has taught Kindergarten and First Grade at Chestatee. She received her bachelor degree from University of South Alabama and her masters degree from Grand Canyon University. Her two children attended Chestatee and are graduates of Forsyth County schools. Mrs. Lee lives on Lake Lanier with her husband (who she met in Second grade) and loves to boat, paddle board, and play on the lake. She is looking forward to a fabulous school year!

Ashley Loftus
Mrs. Loftus is entering her eleventh year of her teaching career and her eighth year at the "T". This will be her fifth year teaching second grade, prior to that she taught third grade and kindergarten. She attended Piedmont College, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating from Piedmont, Mrs. Loftus has obtained her math endorsement. Mrs. Loftus is excited for the 2022-2023 school year!

Holly Mullinax
This will be Mrs.Mullinax's 11th year at Chestatee and her 15th year teaching. Mrs. Mullinax graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood Education, specializing in K-2 and a Math endorsement. She has taught 2nd grade for her whole career. She is very excited to continue as a 2nd grade teacher for the 2022-2023 school year!

Lynne Tatum
Lynne Tatum is in her eleventh year at Chestatee Elementary. This year begins her 20th year in education. She has taught 16 years in 1st grade and this year will be her third year in 2nd grade. She received her Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education from LaGrange College and her Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University. She also has her Gifted Endorsement. She loves teaching children to read and making learning fun!
