This will be Cierra Cappon's third year at Chestatee Elementary School. Ms. Cappon received her Bachelor's in Early Childhood and Special Education and Reading endorsement from the University of North Georgia. She will be graduating with her Masters of Early Education and a Gifted endorsement from Piedmont University in the Spring of 2022. Ms. Cappon has taught Special Education for Fourth Grade in the past. She is excited to build positive relationships with her students and their families.
Sarah Cockerham has 14 years of experience teaching in Forsyth County Schools. Mrs. Cockerham taught 3 years at Mashburn Elementary, teaching 4th grade, 7 years at Brookwood Elementary teaching 4th grade and Special Education (grades 2-5). This is her fifth year at the "T" teaching 4th grade ELA and Social Studies. She holds an undergrad dual degree obtained in Early Childhood Education and Special Education as well as a reading endorsement from North Georgia College. She also graduated from Mercer University with a Master's in Education and an ESOL endorsement. She loves being a parent and teacher at Chestatee!
This will be Jasmine Flores' third year teaching at Chestatee. She was the Title 1 teacher her first year and a fourth grade teacher last year. This will be her second year teaching fourth grade. Ms. Flores received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a Reading Endorsement from the University of North Georgia. Ms. Flores is excited to continue working at Chestatee and cannot wait to see what this year has in store. She loves being a part of the family at Chestatee! Ext. 722448
Sarah Hammond is excited to be teaching 4th grade again this year. This will be her 4th year teaching at Chestatee, and her 18th year teaching in Forsyth County Schools. She received her Bachelor's degree from North Georgia in 2004. She has previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade. She has 3 kids that attend Forsyth County Schools. She loves being a Chestatee Eagle!
This will be Mrs. Splawn's fourth year at Chestatee Elementary and her thirteenth year as an educator. Mrs. Splawn graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She later graduated from Columbus State University with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a reading endorsement. She has taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. She is very excited to teach 4th grade again this year. She knows it is going to be a fantastic year! Ext. 722450
Mrs. Rebecca Stowers is in her third year of teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Stowers graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Elementary Education, in addition to a Reading and ESOL endorsement. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Elementary Education along with her Gifted Endorsement from Piedmont University. She is very excited to teach another amazing group of 4th graders while building positive relationships with her students and their families. She knows this year is going to be an exciting year filled with a lot of learning and fun! While Mrs. Stowers is not teaching, she loves spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Dawgs, and working with her husband and their cows.
This will be Jackie Vaca's 3rd year at Chestatee. She recieved her Bachelor's degree from The University of North Georgia. She has taught first grade the past two years, but is incredibly excited to have the opportunity to join the fourth grade team!
This will be Tiffany Vorick's first year at Chestatee, and her 9th year in elementary education. Mrs. Vorick received her Bachelor's from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and her masters from the University of North Georgia. She has taught second grade for six years and EIP in Grades 1-5 for two years. She was an Adjunct Instructor for Gwinnett Technical College for four years as well. Mrs. Vorick is excited to join the Chestatee family in fourth grade this year!
This will be Kim Ware’s 14th year as a teacher in Forsyth County. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University. She has taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, but is looking forward to another year in 4th grade. She looks forward to building relationships with her students and their parents!
