Hello Eagles, my name is Jorie McIntyre. The 2022-2023 school year will be my 17th year as a lead teacher in both public and private Elementary Education. I spent my first fifteen years as a teacher in the western suburbs of Chicago. This will be my 1st year teaching at Chestatee and I’m so excited to be here. I taught 5th grade at Daves Creek last year. I love teaching and molding my students into good citizens! I am originally from Illinois and currently reside here in Cumming with my husband Gerry. We have three sons. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family, doing home renovation projects, shopping, hiking, and golfing. I absolutely love being a Mom!! I am a passionate fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Cowboys, and now a University of Alabama football fan (since my son is a student there). I come from a large family and have seven siblings who live in Illinois and Nevada. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and Master’s Degrees from National Louis University and Western Governors University. Last year I earned my Math Endorsement and was also part of the STEM certification committee. I look forward to a fantastic school year at Chestatee.
