Hi all! I am the school counselor for Kindergarten, Second, and Fourth grades, but I am available to serve all our students here at SBE. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Georgia, as well as Master of Education and Specialist of Education degrees in School Counseling from Georgia State University. I have been a National Certified Counselor (NCC) since 2003 and National Certified School Counselor (NCSC) since 2004. I’ve also worked in both the private and public school settings and in the community mental health arena as well. I am a proud 6th generation Forsythian and a product of Forsyth County Schools myself, and I love that I have returned to my roots where my career began! My husband, Derek, and I reside in Cumming along with our son, Cole, daughter, Mara, and dog, Paisley.

I am so excited for another great year at Settles Bridge! I look forward to continuing to collaborate with and support our students and families in any way I can. I hold a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from KSU and taught all grade levels (K-5) before I became a counselor. I received my masters degree in school counseling from West Alabama. I also have certifications in ESOL, special education, and a reading endorsement. I teach counseling lessons and mainly support grades 1, 3, and 5; but I am also available to support and serve any of our families. My husband is a firefighter and we have two young sons, Jackson and Austin, who keep us on our toes! I enjoy summer family beach trips and UGA football! I am so thankful to be a part of SBE and look forward to another wonderful year of serving our students and families.
