    Advanced Placement are college level courses taught at the high school and all content criteria is established by College Board; the governing body that sets standards and criteria for each AP course. For more information on College Board and Advanced Placement go to www.collegeboard.com/apcentral  

    Advanced Placement Courses (AP)

    The Georgia Department of Education recognizes Forsyth Central High School as an AP School of Merit, an AP Honor School, an AP STEM and STEM Achievement school, and AP Humanities school. 

     AP Exam Chart

     

    Based on performance on AP Exams administered in May each year, students may be able to obtain college placement exemptions or college credit. The criteria for exemption or college credit vary by each college or university. Please contact the admissions office of each individual college or university to get information on their specific requirements.

    Each year Advanced Placement course offerings are contingent on sufficient enrollment of interested, motivated, and qualified students. Certain AP courses require prerequisite courses. Please see your counselor for more information.

    Home School Students: AP Testing will be held at Alliance Academy for Innovation this year.

  • AP Exam Schedule, Information, and Testing Locations

    Forsyth Central's AP exams are primarily hosted off campus at the

    Cumming Recreation and Parks Center (CRP) 

     437 Pilgrim Mill Rd, Cumming, GA 30040.

     

    CRP

    • Prior to each AP exam, students will receive emails via the emails supplied in the Total Registration platform. This information includes updates, locations, report time, materials to bring, special instructions, and parking information.

     

    • Students with approved testing accommdations through College Board will be testing at FCHS. These students and their parent/guardians will be indiviudally provided with testing locations and report times. For more information contact Angela Hurt (ahurt@forsyth.k12.gs.us ).
