Hi KME Families! My name is Christine Cane and I am very excited to be teaching First Grade.
I was born and raised in California where I received my Bachelor's Degree with a double major in Psychology and Behavioral Science from San Jose State University. Then I continued to pursue a Teaching Credential in Elementary Education.
I am so fortunate to have a wonderful family. I have an amazing husband, two awesome children and two precious pups. We enjoy traveling, nature walks, watching baseball games, and going to the ocean.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year!

Hola!!! I am so excited to be your child’s Spanish teacher this year!!  My name is Frances Cortes and I graduated from University of Phoenix with a B.S. Elementary Education degree. I was born in Honduras and raised in South Florida, we moved here to Cumming, GA in 2019. I have taught kindergarten through sixth grade in South Florida and 5 years here at KME teaching 1st grade DLI . I am married to my wonderful high school sweetheart, and we have two children. Jose will be a junior this fall at KSU and Isabella will be in 5th grade here at KME. I am looking forward to making sweet memorable 1st grade moments with all your children this year!! 😊

Hello KME families! My name is Kelly Eastes and I am so excited to be your child's First Grade Teacher this year! I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa. My family and I moved to the US 13 years ago and have settled in Forsyth County. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I have teaching experience in Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade. This will be my sixth year at KME and 20th year as an Elementary School Teacher! I have been married for 24 years. Our daughter Chloe is 19 and will be heading to KSU, Amy is 17 and will be a Senior, and our son Bradly is 15 and will be a Sophomore. We also have two very spoiled dogs named Barrett and Mogli. I look forward to getting to know you and your families soon and to a wonderful year in First Grade with your children!

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada where I spent most of my life. I an now an eleven year resident to the state of Georgia. I possess a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I am beginning my 28th year of teaching in Elementary Education. I am joined here in Georgia by my wife Gina. We do not have any children but we do have two Bassett Hounds that keeps us very active and entertained. I enjoy traveling, hiking, and attending sporting events when time permits. I am excited to begin my twelfth year as a part of the Kelly Mill Elementary family and look forward to a wonderful and rewarding school year.

Hello KME Families! My name is Gloria Kim, and I am so excited to be your child’s first-grade teacher! This is my 18th year of teaching and 10th year at KME. I taught kindergarten for 15 years, and this will be my third year teaching first grade. I was born and raised in Atlanta. I attended Georgia State University for my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband, Jae, attended the University of Alabama and we are die-hard fans. We have an eleven-year-old son, Aidan. I am so excited about the new school year and look forward to getting to know you and your child. GO COLTS!!

Hello Colt families! My name is Shayna Onderko and I am so thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher this year! I attended Southern Connecticut State University and obtained my B.A. in Elementary Education and my B.S. in Psychology. I then attended the University of Bridgeport and received my M.A. in School Leadership. I have taught 8 years in kindergarten and 7 years in first grade in both Connecticut and Georgia. My heart is my family. My husband, Ron and I, have 2 children, Isabella and Carter. We love spending time together as a family. Isabella plays softball and Carter plays baseball. Go Colts!!!

Hi! My name is Brittney Talley and I am so excited and honored to be your child’s teacher this year at Kelly Mill Elementary! GO COLTS! I grew up in Forsyth County and graduated from Forsyth Central High School. I attended Piedmont College where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and played collegiate fastpitch softball. I graduated in December 2018 with my Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Gifted Endorsement. I graduated in May 2020 with my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, family and friends. I have a 4-year-old daughter named Paislee. We are expecting another girl in late July! I look forward to getting to know you and your wonderful child. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and look forward to a year of fun and lots of learning.
