Amanda Bausman
Hello KME Families! I am so excited to be teaching First Grade this year! This is my 16th year teaching and my first year at KME. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. I am originally from Ohio, where I received my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Development, Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and Master’s in Health Studies. I am a huge Buckeye Fan (The Ohio State University). I have been a sub at KME and a PTO Co-President. My husband, Shawn and I have two boys. Baker is in Second Grade and Wesley is in Fifth Grade both at KME. We have lived in Forsyth County for 10 years now and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

Frances Cortes
Hola! My name is Frances Cortes and I was born in Honduras C.A. I graduated from University of Phoenix with an Elementary Education degree. I am married and we have two children, named Jose and Isabella. I am happy to be part of the Kelly Mill Elementary family and super EXCITED to being your child’s Spanish teacher! Let’s Shine our Light Brightly this year!

Kelly Eastes
Hello KME Families! My name is Kelly Eastes and I am so excited to be your child’s First Grade teacher this year. I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa. My family and I moved to the US eleven years ago and have settled in Forsyth County. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I have teaching experience in Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade. This will be my forth year at KME. I have been married for twenty-two years and have three children. Our daughter Chloe is 17 and will be a Junior and Amy is 15 and will be a Sophomore. They both attend Denmark High School. Our son Bradly is13 (my baby) and will be an 8th grader at Lakeside Middle. We also have two very spoiled dogs Barrett and Mogli! I look forward to getting to know you and your families soon and to a wonderful year in First Grade with your children!

Gloria Kim
Hello KME Families! My name is Gloria Kim, and I am so excited to be your child’s first-grade teacher! This is my 16th year of teaching and 8th year at KME. I taught kindergarten for 15 years, and this will be my first year teaching first grade. I was born and raised in Atlanta. I attended Georgia State University for my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. My husband, Jae, and I attended the University of Alabama and are die-hard fans. We have a nine-year-old son, Aidan. I am so excited about the new school year and look forward to getting to know you and your child. GO COLTS!!

Tracey Lancaster
My name is Tracy Lancaster. I was born in Georgia. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with an Early Childhood Education degree. This will be my 24th year teaching! First grade is my favorite, but I have also taught kindergarten and second grade. I enjoy playing tennis, watching football and traveling. I am married to Derrick and we have a daughter, named Taylor. She will be starting graduate school this fall. We have lived in Forsyth County for the past twelve years. I am happy to be part of the Kelly Mill Elementary family!

Shayna Onderko
I attended Southern Connecticut State University and obtained my B.A. in Elementary Education and my B.S. in Psychology. I then attended the University of Bridgeport and received my M.A. in School Leadership. I have taught 8 years in Kindergarten and 4 years in first grade in both Connecticut and Georgia. My heart is my family. My husband Ron and I have 2 children, Isabella and Carter. We love spending time together as a family. Isabella plays softball and Carter is looking forward to starting baseball next year.

Brittney Talley
Hi! My name is Brittney Talley and I am so excited and honored to be your child’s teacher this year at Kelly Mill Elementary! GO COLTS! I am looking forward to beginning my 9th year of teaching! I have taught 1st Grade for 7 years here at KME and taught Virtual Kindergarten! I grew up in Forsyth County and graduated from Forsyth Central High School. I attended Piedmont College where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and played collegiate fastpitch softball. I graduated in December 2018 with my Master’s in Early Childhood Education and Gifted Endorsement. I just graduated in May 2020 with my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I am married to my college sweetheart and we have a baby girl named Paislee! I look forward to getting to know you and your wonderful child. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love and look forward to a year of fun and lots of learning.
