Joy Eaton
I'm Joy Eaton, and I couldn't be more excited to begin my 35th year of teaching elementary school. Teaching isn't just what I do; it's who I am. For over three decades, I've been dedicated to nurturing young minds and helping them flourish.
On a personal note, I'm a proud mother to my 32-year-old son, Patrick. My family also includes two adorable dogs, Max and Cashew, who bring endless joy to my life. We love going on walks together, staying active and healthy. I also have a grand pup named Moose, but I call him Moose Goose. He is Cashew's brother from the same litter, and they all bring so much happiness to my life.
When I'm not at school or with my family, you'll often find me in my garden. I have a passion for plants, especially flowers and tomatoes. Gardening rejuvenates me, and I believe it's important to find hobbies that bring us happiness. Recently, I've started playing pickleball. I'm a beginner, but I'm really enjoying the sport!
I also love listening to rock music, though I play jazz in the classroom to create a calm and focused atmosphere. I'm passionate about Early American history and math, and I enjoy sharing this enthusiasm with my students.
But my heart truly belongs in the classroom. I love teaching 4th grade and am honored to be part of your child's educational journey this year. My goal is to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and supported. Together, we'll explore new subjects, overcome challenges, and celebrate achievements.
