Mrs. Robin Hall

My name is Robin Hall and I am excited for my 12th year at CMES! I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and a M.S. Ed. with a focus on Elementary Reading and Literacy. This is my 21st year of teaching. I have a passion for teaching foundational literacy skills and enjoy helping students feel more confident as readers and writers. I love helping children learn how to think deeply, become amazing problem-solvers, and achieve things they didn’t think possible. My husband and I have 4 kids and 1 dog. We love to spend time together, hang out with friends, and go for hikes. I am looking forward to another great year.

Ms. Erika Hunziker

Hello! My name is Erika Hunziker! I am so excited for another great year on the Mountain! This is my 5th year at Coal Mountain! I graduated from the University of North Georgia with a bachelors degree in elementary and special education! I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year! I have previously taught special education and 3rd grade! When I am not at school, I love hiking and spending time with my friends and family! It is going to be a great year on the Mountain!

Ms. Riley Sheppard

Hello Coal Mountain Elementary School community, my name is Riley Sheppard, and I'm thrilled to be joining the 2nd grade team. I began my teaching journey in Pre-K classrooms in Bulloch County, where my love for early childhood education took root. Last year, I had the joy of teaching first graders in Gwinnett County, but am so excited to be in Forsyth! Outside of school, I enjoy reading, spending time with my fiancé and dog, and trying out new recipes. With my recent Masters degree in hand, I'm eager to bring my passion and fresh perspectives to Coal Mountain Elementary. I’m excited for my first year on the Mountain!

Mrs. Torri Keller

Hello Miner families! My name is Torri Keller, and I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade at Coal Mountain ElementaryI earned my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Georgia in 2004. Furthering my dedication to fostering literacy and a love for reading, I completed my Master's degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in 2008.This year marks my 10th year at Coal Mountain, and I have previously spent 11 years teaching in Hall County, where I had the pleasure of working with students across various grade levels.On a personal note, my husband Allan and I are proud parents to three wonderful children. Wesley is embarking on his high school journey as a Freshman at North Forsyth High School, while Liam is entering fourth grade and Olivia is starting Kindergarten here at Coal Mountain. Our family is actively involved in numerous activities, from baseball and football cheering to wrestling, cross-country meets, and karate. I am eagerly looking forward to a fantastic year, building strong connections with your children and contributing to their academic and personal growth here on the Mountain.

Mrs. Wendy Wells

My name is Wendy Wells and I’m looking forward to another year at CMES! I am on my 25th year teaching elementary school and on my 12th year at CMES. I have taught in beautiful places such as Hawaii, California and Savannah, Georgia. However, Forsyth County is special to me because it is my hometown. UGA is my alma mater and I have a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. My husband and I have two children who keep us on the go- Connor, and Kyla. You can normally find us on the baseball field, at gymnastics, or spending downtime on the lake. I can’t wait to meet my new 2nd graders!

Mrs. Ashley Yarber

My name is Ashley Yarber and I am very excited to be teaching second grade at Coal Mountain Elementary. My husband and I have one son, Andrew, who is in high school. I graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and I have a Master’s degree from Walden University in Elementary Reading and Literacy. Recently, I completed my Specialist degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Georgia. In my free time I love to travel, shop, read, and go on walks with my dog, Mabel. I am looking forward to a fabulous year in second grade!
