Hi there! I'm Gabriella Bailey, and I'm absolutely thrilled to dive into an amazing year in 3rd grade! With eight years of experience in the classroom, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, with endorsements in reading and ESOL from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Teaching is my passion, and I find immense joy in creating a fun and supportive learning environment for my students. Beyond the school walls, you'll often find me spending time with my wonderful family. My husband and I are kept happily busy by our two lively boys. Here's to another fantastic year ahead, filled with growth, laughter, and unforgettable moments on the Mountain!

I am a graduate of North Georgia College and State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with a Reading Endorsement. It is my greatest passion to steer every student toward their path to success and understanding with fun and hands-on activities. I have been teaching since 2012, and I look forward to another great year as a Coal Mountain Miner! My husband Aaron and I live in Cumming with our son, Zeke, and our daughter Aubrey. Some of my favorite things include music, trivia, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I am also a big Florida State fan, and enjoy visiting Tallahassee to watch the Noles play!

My name is Grace Brown and this is my third year at Coal Mountain. I received my bachelors degree from the University of North Georgia in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am excited to continue my career at Coal Mountain and invest in the community as well as my 3rd graders. Teaching brings me so much joy and I am excited to build relationships with my students and watch them grow throughout the year. I love coffee, anything outdoors, the Atlanta Braves, and spending time with my friends and family!

Hi! My name is Whitley Perez. I have been an educator for three years. I have taught on The Mountain for 2 years now. I also taught 3rd grade in my previous district, Whitfield County Schools. I attended Shorter University where I student taught 2nd grade in Rome City Schools, and I graduated with my degree in Elementary Education, and I received the “Elementary Education Award.” Teaching is something I have always felt called to do, and it is truly a passion of mine. I love the relationships I build with my students and coworkers! In my free time I love to hangout with my husband, family, and friends, try out new restaurants, and play sports! I am super excited for this next school year. Go Miners!

Hi Miners! My name is Kristen Sheppard and I am so excited for another year in third grade on the Mountain. This will be my 11th year teaching and my 3rd year as a Miner. I’ve taught grades 2-4, but 3rd has always held a special place in my heart. When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me between the baseball, soccer, and football fields with my 3 boys- my oldest two are also Miners this year. We also enjoy as much family time on the lake as we can. I’m looking forward to another great year on the Mountain!
