I am so excited to join the Sharon family this year. I am originally from Americus, Georgia, but my husband and I have lived in Forsyth County for twenty-two years. I have three incredible children- two sons, and a daughter. Chandler is a sophomore at UGA studying Psychology, Griffin is an upcoming college freshman headed to Auburn in the fall to study engineering, and Sadie is an upcoming high school freshman.
I received my undergraduate degree in Child and Family Development from UGA , a master’s degree in special education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities from Georgia Southwestern State University, and I am a soon to be graduate of Valdosta State University’s masters degree program in School Counseling.
I have been an interrelated teacher for the past fifteen years in both elementary and middle school. Working with students in both of these age groups has helped me appreciate how amazing it is to see students learn, develop, and succeed from kindergarten to high school.
I enjoy almost every activity that involves the outdoors. Traveling with my family is my favorite activity, and I love creating new experiences with them.
Becoming a school counselor has been a passion of mine for many years, and I am thrilled at the opportunity to work with the students and staff at Sharon.

Hi, Sharon Families! I’m so excited to be in my 3rd year at SES! For the 2024-25 school year, I will be the school counselor for 1st, 3rd and 5th grades!
I have 29 years in education - 23 of those as an elementary school counselor. I have also taught 3rd, 5th and 6th grades. I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and my master’s degree in school counseling both from Mississippi State University! Go Bulldogs! I was a teacher and school counselor in MS and Birmingham, AL before moving to Georgia. One of the best parts of being a school counselor is helping students build their self-confidence and discover that they are able to be resilient in all situations! I look forward to supporting Sharon students, families and staff in having a successful school year!
Brookhaven, MS is my hometown and I have lived in Georgia since 2016. My husband, Bob, and I have been married for 8 years, have a 6 year old little boy named Sully and 2 dogs, Daisy & Fritz. We are members of Alpharetta Methodist Church where I serve on the Children’s Council and volunteer with the children’s ministry. I enjoy cooking, painting, playing tennis and spending time with my family.
