Mrs. Lori Hennessey, IE2

Hello, my name is Lori Hennessey.  I grew up in the beautiful state of Michigan where I graduated from Michigan State University (GO SPARTANS!) with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Immediately after graduation, I moved to Atlanta where I taught for 6 years with Atlanta Public Schools followed by 7 years of teaching at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.  Feeling very blessed, the next 10 years of my life included being a stay at home mom and raising my two wonderful daughters, Taylor (20 - UGA student) and Sydney (17 - Lambert HS student).  After returning to the work force in 2014, I worked for 2 years as an Instructional Assistant for Fulton County Schools.  I then transitioned to Sharon Elementary where I currently serve as a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant.

My many interest include spending time with my family and friends, traveling, playing tennis and watching my girls play their favorite sports (tennis and soccer).

I am looking forward to a fabulous fourth year of teaching at Sharon!

I spend most of my time focusing on remediation, enrichment , test taking skills and testing . I feel working with small groups is quite a rewarding position because it allows me to get to know the “ whole child”. I am honored and thrilled to be a part of the Sharon Family.
