My passion is to help students find their voice through sign language, communication devices, etc.! My family is very involved in public service through teaching, firefighting and the military. My name is Cindy Causey. I have taught both general education and special education in Washington state, at Johns Creek Elementary here in Forsyth County and this will be my sixth year at Coal Mountain Elementary. My husband and I have four wonderful children between us. I am currently in graduate school working on my Specialist degree in Special Education. Every year I learn so much from the students that I work with and I look forward to getting to know you and your children this year!

My name is Kaitlyn Crawford and I am excited to be back at Coal Mountain this year! I taught 2nd grade general education for two years, and 4th grade resource for two years. I received my Bachelors in Early Childhood/ Special Education, as well as my Masters in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia. I also received my Specialist in Instructional Technology. I love traveling, spending time with friends and family, and working out. I also enjoy watching the Braves and Bulldogs! I am excited for this school year with our kids!

My name is Robin Forrester and I am teaching the K-3 MOID class at Coal Mountain. Prior to coming to Forsyth County I taught in Gwinnett County for 11 years. My faith, my family, my friends and co-workers are very important to me. My husband, Calvin, and I have 2 amazing daughters. Katie is 17 and Carly is 16. We enjoy watching them play softball, golf, and swimming. I am very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful school. Looking forward to another year on the mountain.

My name is Michelle Hilger and I graduated from North Georgia College with my degree in Early Childhood Development and Special Education. I have been teaching for many years in Forsyth County and proudly call Coal Mountain my home. It is such a blessing to be able to teach at the same school that I attended as student, AND now my son is also a CMES Miner. My husband and I are both natives of Forsyth County and have been married for a wonderful 10 years. I love to travel, read, and spend time with my family. I can’t wait to start another wonderful year here on the Mountain!

This is my fourth year at Coal Mountain Elementary. I live on Lake Lanier with my husband, our four children, two dogs and two cats. We love lake living, and I love teaching at Coal Mountain as well!

Welcome to the most amazing school!!! I am very excited to be teaching at Coal Mountain! I will be working with 4th and 5th grade this year. This is my 11th year teaching. I have taught P.E., 3rd, 4th ,and 5th grade, and Pre-K. I am an LSU graduate and got my Master’s degree from Kennesaw State University! My husband, Robert, and I have 3 wonderful children. My daughter, Bryson, will be in 2nd grade and my son< Timothy, will be in Kindergarten. Reid is 4, but can’t wait to join us here! When I am not at school you can find me playing outside with my kids, playing tennis and cheering on the LSU Tigers!! I am extremely excited to be a part of this community. My goal is to make your child love coming to school every day!

Welcome to Coal Mountain!! I love teaching at Coal Mountain. I am excited to work with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade this year. I have been teaching for over 8 years and have taught PreK, 1st grade, 3rd grade, IRR, and I even taught at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I graduated from Berry College and obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Georgia. My husband William and I have two beautiful children; our daughter, Avery, and our son, Lucas. We also have a fur-child, our dog named Lilly who is lab pit-bull mix. Outside of my passion for teaching I enjoy watching sports, playing soccer and tennis, and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to a great year at Coal Mountain!
