My name is Haley Albers and I am so excited to be a Coal Mountain Miner! I was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington, and am so proud and excited to have found my way to this wonderful school system! I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in May of 2024 with my Bachelor’s of Special Education. I couldn’t be more excited for my first year of teaching! I enjoy spending time outdoors with my fiancé and hosting weekly dinners with my family and friends! I also love working out, sports, and enjoying a movie with my favorite kind of pizza! 

I am so excited for this upcoming school year and cannot wait to create new memories and to make this a special place for students to learn on the mountain! 

 My name is Kennedy Bennett and I am going into my third year teaching, and first here at Coal Mountain. I am a Forsyth County native and a proud product of the Forsyth County School System. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of North Georgia. When I am not at school I love reading, playing with my dog Harlow, and traveling. I am so excited to be a Miner!

Hi Miners! I'm Kristi Baggarly and I am a Georgia Bulldog through and through. I received both of my degrees from the University of Georgia (bachelor's - Communication Sciences & Disorders, 2002; master's - Speech Pathology, 2004). My oldest daughter is a junior at Lambert and my youngest is in 5th grade at Matt Elementary. My middle daughter is honored through the coveted Kendle Baggarly Award that is presented at the end of the school year to a Coal Mountain student who "Believes Anything is Possible!" Coal Mountain is a special place to our family because all 3 of our girls attended this school at some point in their academic careers. Outside of school, I love college football, being in or on the water, and traveling with my family whenever we can. I am excited to begin my 2nd year as a staff member on the mountain! It's going to be a fantastic year!

Hi friends! My name is Sydney Bramblett and I am going into my 6th year teaching, and my 4th year here at Coal Mountain. I was born and raised here in Forsyth County, and I am also a 4th generation teacher within my family in Forsyth County. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to church, and going kayaking and hiking any chance I get. I also enjoy going to the gym. I love being a Coal Mountain Miner and I can’t wait for another fantastic school year!

I am a native of Forsyth County and a proud product of the Forsyth County School System. I have a blended family of four children (two adults and two teenagers), a beautiful granddaughter, and two dogs. I have been teaching since 2010 after receiving my bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. I have a masters in Early Childhood Education and a specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Piedmont University. By the end of the 2024-2025 school year I will also have completed a Doctorate degree in Special Education. I have taught and supported students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The 2024-2025 school year will be my third year at Coal Mountain.

Hello Miners! I am so excited to be returning to Coal Mountain for the 24-25 school year. Coal Mountain has been my home for the past 8 years. I have two sons, one is going into 7th and one is going into 4th. In our free time my family enjoys going out to eat with friends, watching movies and going on vacation.

This will be my 7th year teaching at Coal Mountain. In total I have been teaching for 19 years. I have my Masters in Education from Bureau University. I love spending time with my husband, Calvin and our 2 daughters, Katie and Carly. We enjoy spending time at the beach or just hanging out.  

Hello Miners! I am excited to be back on the Mountain for the 4th year. I have been teaching for 18 years, with 12 years in general education and 6 years in special education. My husband, Kyle, is a teacher and football coach at North Forsyth High School. We have two daughters, Whitney is in 8th grade and Ally Brooke is in 6th grade at North Forsyth Middle School. We love cheering on the Raiders under those Friday night lights! Outside of school, I love college football, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to another great year on the Mountain!

I am excited to be joining Coal Mountain Elementary. I graduated from University of Central Florida and have over five years of Special Education experience. My family and I can’t wait to learn more about  Georgia and all the fun things to do. Please stop by and say hi when your on campus.

I am Tiffany Harris and I am excited for another wonderful year on the mountain! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from the University of North Georgia. I also have a Reading Endorsement from UNG. This will be my sixth year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten for five years and I am so excited to embark on this IRR adventure! Elementary School is such a special time- I am so thankful to be a part of it!

My name is Michelle Hilger and this will be my 8th year teaching at Coal Mountain Elementary. I graduated from North Georgia in Early Childhood Development and Special Education. I am a Forsyth County native and love being involved in our community. My husband and I have been married for 18 wonderful years. We have an awesome son who also attends a Forsyth County school and a sweet little girl who will be celebrating her 2nd birthday this year! We love to travel, camp, collect pieces of history, and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to another fabulous year here on the Mountain!

I am excited to begin a second year at CMES. I have been an SLP for almost 28 years in Georgia schools. I attended Valdosta State University many, many years ago to obtain my degree in Communication Disorders. My husband, Kelly, and I have put up with each other for 32 years. We have four, grown children and six grands. 

My name is Mackenzie Jolly. I am super excited to be a Coal Mountain Miner! I was born and raised in Forsyth County. I am proud to say that I am a product of this wonderful school system! I am going to be a first-year teacher! I graduated from Mississippi State University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Special Education. I enjoy spending my time at the pool with friends and family! I also love painting, shopping, and hanging out with my dog Zeke! 

I am very excited about this upcoming school year and cannot wait to create some amazing memories on the mountain!

I have been teaching since 2009 and received my Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees from Georgia Southern University. My teaching experiences include; high school ESOL, EIP in upper elementary, virtual teaching across all elementary levels to support Special Education students, a variety of grade levels both in the elementary general education and special education setting. I am thrilled to work with students that have special needs!
I grew up in Cumming and am honored to work in the school system that molded me as a student. I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children on the lake. I’m looking forward to a spectacular school year at Coal Mountain where we can learn and grow together!

Hi Miners! I’m excited and ready for another GREAT year on the Mountain. I have a wonderful
relationship with Coal Mountain as I have spent most of my teaching career here on this very
campus. My husband and I retired last year and are finding ourselves right back in Forsyth
County Schools. I am a life- long resident of Forsyth County and am grateful for the impact
these schools have had on myself as a student and my family. I received my Bachelor’s Degree
in Communication Sciences and Disorders at University of Georgia, my Master’s in Speech
Language Pathology at Valdosta State University and a Specialist Degree in Leadership at
Lincoln Memorial TN. I have worked in many roles within the realm of Speech and Language
over the past 30 years and am anticipating a fantastic 2024-2025 school year. Outside of
school and education, I am passionate about my family, friends and people and new
adventures!! My husband and I appear to be keeping I-85N well traveled as we visit our son
Noah in Greenville, SC who works for GE as an Engineer and our daughter Emma in Charlotte,
NC, who is a marketing analyst for Best Lawyers firm. Here’s to a great year!

Hi! My name is Julie MacAnn.  I am so excited to be joining Coal Mountain Elementary. I graduated from the Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  I’ve been a speech therapist for 16 years.  I am from Buffalo, New York and moved to Georgia at the beginning of the summer.  My husband Greg and I have boy/girl twins.  I enjoy traveling, watching football, reading, and being with my family.  I am so excited to be a Miner.

Hi! My name is Diana Noe and this is my sixth year at Coal Mountain and my 14th year teaching speech and language in schools. I received my undergraduate degree from Ole Miss - Hotty Toddy! - and I hold master’s degrees in Speech/Language Pathology and in Dyslexia Therapy. I received my Specialist degree in Language and Literacy in 2018. My husband Scott and I have two daughters, Leigh Ellen who lives in Lafayette, GA with her husband Thomas, and Eliza who is a journalist in Norfolk, VA. Scott and I love living in the North Georgia mountains with its beautiful scenery and wildlife. I look forward to the new school year and helping my students reach their communication goals!

This will be my fifth year at Coal Mountain working in the Speech Department. I am looking forward to a great year. When I am not at Coal Mountain, I am spending time with my family, reading a good book, or hiking Sawnee Mountain.

 My name is Penny Raper and I’m excited to be joining Coal Mountain on the IRR team.  I earned my bachelor's degree and master's degree from UNG in early childhood education. I spent my first thirteen years teaching third and fourth grades in Hall County. I’ve spent the last ten years working in IRR here in Forsyth County at Whitlow and Mashburn Elementary Schools. My two kids have loved being Coal Mountain Miners and I even attended when I was a kid, so I’m excited to be a Miner again.

I am so excited to be a new resident of Georgia and even more excited to be joining the Coal Mountain Elementary family. I graduated from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Early Childhood Education. I hold certifications in K-6 general education and K-12 Special Education. I have spent my entire career working as a special education teacher. When I am not at work, I love spending my time with my husband, Steven, and my three kids, Mackenzie, Kylie and Gavin, all of whom are working on the post high school educations.  We are a very close knit family that enjoys spending time together, especially when rooting on our Texas Rangers. I look forward to being a part of this new community and working with your children.

Hello! My name is Christa Strickland. I have been a teacher for fifteen years, and I am thrilled to be joining Coal Mountain Elementary. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Interrelated Special Education from the University of Georgia in 2007. Furthering my passion for special education, I completed my master’s degree from Walden University in 2011. My husband and I have two teenage sons who keep us very busy. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my loved ones. 

Hi! I have been teaching since 2008 & have spent all of my years in special education. I am an NGCSU graduate with degrees in Early Childhood and Special Education, received my Master's degree in elementary math, and my Specialist degree in Teaching & Learning. I have a reading endorsement as well as a dyslexia endorsement. I love spending time with my husband and our 3 children, playing sports or going on trips. When I am not in school, you might find me playing outside with my kids and dogs or playing tennis. I’m looking forward to another great year at CMES!
