Mrs. Shannon Archer

Welcome! My name is Shannon Archer, and this is my 17th year teaching, all of which have been in Forsyth County Schools. My beautiful family starts with my extraordinary husband, Chris, who plays many roles as a Fire Marshal, Arson Investigator, and Fire Prevention Specialist. I have three children; Kristen, 22, who attends the University of Georgia; Patrick, 15, a freshman at North Forsyth High School in the Fall and Payton, 10, who will be a 5th grader here on the mountain in August. Kristen is pursuing a degree that will allow her to become a speech pathologist. Patrick is ready to eat food that doesn't taste like "jail food" like the middle school (his words), and Payton plays Academy Soccer for Dawson County, where he plays goalie and defender.
I have a passion for making the classroom feel comfortable and inviting, fostering growth and development in students. Parent and school relationships, teacher and student relationships, inclusion, communication, social skills, functional skills, academics, and behavior are areas I place a strong focus on each day. We are dedicated to your students here on the mountain and helping the whole child learn and grow. We can't wait for the new year!
