I am excited to begin my fourth year as a member of the SBE team for the 2019-20 school year. My Early Childhood/Special Education degree is from Radford University in Virginia.  Twenty six years ago I began my teaching career in West Virginia, and in 1985 relocated to Georgia.   My experience includes teaching self-contained special education, general education, and interrelated resource.   I am a proud mom of two adult children who are both following their own passions, and using their talents in organic farming and theatre.  My heart is in the classroom and with the exceptional children that I have the opportunity to serve each day.

I am excited to be starting my third year as a Settles Bridge Star and my sixth year as a special education teacher! I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. I believe that, "every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists they become the best that they can possibly be." (Rita Pierson) I can't wait to see the amazing things that the 2019-2020 school year will bring!
