Thanks to everyone who allowed their students to participate in the school Geography Bee this morning.  We had a great competition complete with tiebreakers, maps, and a new school champion! 

Before we get to the results I want to give a huge thank you to Julie Evans for getting the media center ready for the bee and letting us take over, she was awesome as always!  Another huge thank you to Ward Prather for his help with judging and working through some of the tiebreakers.  Finally, thanks to Samantha Fuller who has spent time as a student teacher here this year.  Samantha Fuller was a huge help all year with the Geography Club and was vital to the success of today’s bee as a judge/scorekeeper/timekeeper. 

We started out with 31 students and when the bee was over here were the results:

3^rd place: Advaith Nidumukkala (8^th Grade)

2^nd place: Shyam Sivan (7^th Grade)

SCHOOL CHAMPION: Pranav Srambikkal (7^th Grade)

Pranav will take an online test to qualify for the state bee in Milledgeville later this year.  Congrats to these students and all who participated!
