Todd Smith Principal My name is Todd Smith and I am proud to be the principal of Brandywine Elementary. We are excited to be going into our 4th year at Brandywine. It has been challenging and yet so rewarding at the same time opening a new school and building a great culture over the last few years. Prior to opening Brandywine, I was Principal at Midway Elementary School in Forsyth County and an Elementary School Principal in Pennsylvania in Indiana Area and Millville School Districts. I have taught 1st, 4th 5th, 7th and 8th grades during my 27 year career. In addition, I coached football and wrestling at the middle school levels. I attended Va. Tech, Mercer University, Slippery Rock University and have taken some coursework at the University of Georgia to earn my principal’s certification. I have a wife, Jackie and two children, Nathan and Alexis. My daughter attends Auburn University and my son will be attending Kennesaw State in the Fall. I look forward to another great year at Brandywine. I am excited for my 2nd year at Brandywine as the assistant principal over grades 3-5. I have 19 years in education including 8 years as a middle school teacher, 2 years as a middle school graduation coach, and 9 years as an assistant principal in elementary.
My husband and I have a blended family of 4 children ages 25, 21, 7, and 3. We love Forsyth County and are active members in our local church.
I believe that all students need a supportive, caring and safe learning environment. My goal is to work with all staff, students, and our community to create a second home for all within the walls of our school.
email@example.com Jessica Connell Quality Work Facilitator It is an honor and a privilege to continue to support the Brandywine community- students, families, and staff- as our school’s Quality Work Facilitator. I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Instructional Technology, my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and completed coursework toward my Ed.D., all through Kennesaw State University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I absolutely love learning, about everything and anything, and have a passion for working with special education students and their families. Before returning to Forsyth County Schools, I spent four years as an Assistant Principal at Mill Springs Academy, a private special education school in Alpharetta. Prior to that time, I also worked as an Educational Technology Specialist and had the privilege of working with every grade, K-8, as a general education classroom teacher, Special Area teacher, and special education teacher, and was also named “Teacher of the Year” at Midway Elementary School.
It is an absolute pleasure to come to work every day, to serve our school community, and support the amazing work of Brandywine’s teachers and students. I am proud to be a Badger and look forward to another wonderful school year!
