Pam Counter My name is Pam Counter, and this will be my 24th year teaching elementary school. For the past 21 years, I have worked in Forsyth County, and I have taught both kindergarten and second grade, and next year will be my first year teaching 3rd grade! I love to read and spend summers in Pennsylvania with the rest of our family.
Kate McDearmon My name is Kate McDearmon, and I am thrilled to be a Brandywine Badger! This is my 13th year of teaching and my fifth year at BWE. Prior to this, I taught 2nd and 4th grades in Gwinnett County, Phenix City, Alabama, and an American school in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have two kids in the DLI program at BWE: Alice (8) and Miles (6)! I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Georgia. In addition, I hold ESOL certification and elementary mathematics and reading endorsements. My husband, Brian, is a high school English teacher in Fulton County, and we enjoy living in the Alpharetta community. Amy O'Keefe My name is Amy O'Keefe, and I am excited to be back at Brandywine Elementary School teaching third grade. I received my bachelors degree in education from the University of Georgia and several years later got my masters degree from Georgia State University. After that I earned my specialists degree in teaching and learning from Piedmont College. I have taught for thirty years in GA, FL, CA, and CT in both private and public schools.
