Laura graduated from Kennesaw State University and began her teaching career in Fulton County where she taught 3rd and 2nd grades for 7 years. After the birth of her first daughter Leila, she decided to take a break from the classroom to be a full-time mom.
Callie soon joined big sister Leila and Laura enjoyed staying home with both of her daughter's until 2015. Laura taught 4th grade at Sawnee Elementary where she supported four teachers as a parapro. She has always had a love for teaching and knew she would reestablish her teaching career once her daughters were of school age.

I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade at Brandywine. I graduated from the University of Georgia (GOOOOOOO DAWGS!!!) in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development. I then graduated in May 2005 from Georgia State University, where I received my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Finally, I went back to GSU in 2009, where I earned my Specialist Degree. This is my 14th year teaching. My husband Brandon and I live in Cumming with our three sweet puppies…Iggy, Stevie, and Peaches and our kitty, Sookie. We really love animals! I feel that teaching is like parenting because I have the privilege of sharing your child for 180 days, and I get to know and love each of them. They become a part of me, and I would do anything to see them succeed!
