Keith Sargent – Principal
DeSana Middle School
I am so excited and honored to be the next proud principal of DeSana Middle School! As you know, DeSana has a rich legacy of diversity, community involvement, and academic achievement. We will continue to build upon the strong foundation that has been established by students, staff, parents, and community partners. I believe that everything rises and falls on relationships and, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship”.
I hold a bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College, a master’s degree, and an Ed Specialist’s degree from the University of Alabama. I spent 12 years in the classroom as a teacher of student with disabilities before becoming an assistant principal with Gwinnett County Public Schools. In 2016, I transferred to Forsyth County Schools as an assistant principal. This is the beginning of my 23rd year in education. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the DeSana Community and help your child achieve success no matter their passions or interests.
We are . . .
Diverse thinkers who
Engage across cultures and
Seek new learning opportunities that
Apply to real-world experiences. We are
Not afraid to fail
And try again.
We are DeSana!
