Hi Pirates! I am looking so forward to a great new year with all of you! We learned a lot last school year and grew by leaps and bounds as we navigated a lot of new waters with opening a new school while going through a pandemic. What I learned is that kids are resilient, and teachers are the most creative humans - while keeping learning fun and engaging for both virtual and face-to-face students. I’m optimistic that this year will look a lot different.
Just to give you a little insight about me, this is my 27th year in education and my 19th year in Forsyth County. My prior experience includes Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade, EIP, Literacy Coach, and currently serving as Assistant Principal for 6 years. I’m passionate about building relationships with my staff, students, and parents so that together we can encourage and build healthy, positive, and successful students.
On a personal note, I’ve been married to my husband, Trent, for 37 years and we have raised three wonderful children. Our two sons and daughter are now married and have given us three beautiful grandchildren: Lexington, Colt, and Ryleigh Grace. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, traveling, playing tennis, and watching Auburn football.
It’s going to be a fantastic year!!
