• Breakfast Club (Instructional Extension)
DeSana Middle School believes in supporting the success of every student and has as its purpose “to establish a solid foundation, built on the cornerstone of excellence in education”, where students can “Ignite Ingenuity, Explore Possibilities, Embrace New Opportunities, Inspire Excellence, and Thrive!”  We believe the Breakfast Club is a critical part of fulfilling that mission because we feel that in order to prepare students for their future in a global community, we have to give them many opportunities to be successful where they are, so they see what the future might hold.  We also feel this program will help our school further meet the individualized instructional needs of students who are not currently meeting grade level standards and simply need more time with the content than can be provided within the confines of the current academic day.

The Breakfast Club at DeSana Middle School will serve students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in the four main content areas of ELA/Reading, math, science and social studies.

Breakfast Club is not a time for completing homework, making up missed assignments, cramming for the upcoming test, or retaking tests.  This is targeted, direct instruction by our certified teachers to address difficult concepts, review and practice these concepts and preview upcoming, challenging content.  Your child will be given the opportunity to spend more time on key skills & concepts and see new or challenging material presented in different ways to help them demonstrate mastery.
The  Breakfast Club will be offered to students in need on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until Spring Break.
Please mark your calendars now for these Breakfast Club dates for the rest of the school year:
