This will be Mrs. Bergen's 18th year at Chestatee Elementary and her 27th year as an educator. She graduated from the University of Georgia with an Early Childhood degree. She has had the wonderful opportunity of teaching 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, as a regular ed. teacher, as well as, 1st through 5th through her current Early Interventionist Position. She is extremely excited about serving as an Early Interventionist again next year, as it enables her to continue to watch so many of the students grow in their education at Chestatee.
Mrs. Hills is beginning her 25th year as an educator. She attended 2 years at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and transferred to finish her undergraduate degree from Kansas State University. After one year in the classroom she went back to get her Masters Degree from Webster University, MO. In 2000 the Hills family moved to GA. She later attended Lincoln Memorial , TN to get her Education Specialist Degree in Leadership. Mrs. Hills has taught K,1,2,3,4 grades and EIP (Early Intervention Program). She has also coached gymnastics over 20 years and just love teaching children!
This will be Joan Knight's 9th year teaching at Chestatee. Mrs. Knight received her Bacelors and Masters from Brenau University. She received her Leadership degree from North Georgia University. She has had the opportunity of teaching special education for eighteen years and Early intervention for the past two years and is looking forward to her 3rd year. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with the great families and students at Chestatee. She loves being a part of the Chestatee team.
Rock Reed is enjoying his 8th year at Chestatee Elementary. He has a long business world background and is enjoying his 2nd career in Early Childhood Education. Rock's endorsements include Reading, Math, ESOL, and Gifted. He loves teaching and helping children grow toward their full potential. He is an avid story and joke teller as he makes real-life connections with each student.
This will be Lori Faulkner's 13th year at Chestatee. Mrs. Faulkner received her Bachelor's degree from North Georgia and her Master's from Lesley University. She has taught middle school Spanish, elementary Spanish and ESOL. She is very excited to continue teaching ESOL at Chestatee. She loves her students and families.
This will be Emily Flack's 22nd year of teaching, and her 4th here at Chestatee. Mrs. Flack received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia and her Master's degree from Piedmont College. She has had the opportunities to teach Spanish, Title I, EIP, and ESOL. She is very excited to see her ESOL students again this year--come visit her soon!
This will be Mrs. Jarvis' second year teaching at Chestatee Elementary and her 15th year as an educator. Mrs. Jarvis graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a degree in Psychology. She later received her certification in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University, an ESOL endorsement, and her Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. She has taught 6th, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades. She is very excited about joining the ESOL team and teaching an awesome group of students this year!
This will be Meg Killingsworth's 17th year at Chestatee Elementary and the fifth year as the Family Engagement Coordinator. She has taught for a total of 21 years. Meg graduated from Indiana University in 1998 and has enjoyed teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades along with special education resource. She has loved working with families the past 4 years at Chestatee and looks forward to meeting our new families this year!
This will be Mrs. Jablonski's 6th year at Chestatee Elementary and her 13th year as an educator. She graduated from North Georgia College and State University with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education in addition to endorsements in Math, Science, Gifted, and Reading. She holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is extremely excited to support Chestatee’s students, parents, and staff by serving as the Lead Title I Coach for this coming school year.
This will be Jasmine Flores’ first year teaching at Chestatee. Ms. Flores received her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Special Education as well as a minor in Spanish from the University of North Georgia. She had the pleasure of student teaching in second grade. She is extremely excited to be serving our staff and students as part of the Academic Support Team as a Title 1 teacher. She loves being a part of the family at Chestatee.
