Mrs. LeBlanc

I have been teaching for 16 years, and I have been a proud Midway Mustang for 12 years. I graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and from the University of New England with my Master's Degree in Literacy. This is my fourth year as Midway's Instructional Coach. I love working with and getting to know all of our teachers and students both scholastically and personally throughout the year. My academic passion is literacy. I enjoy helping teachers and students harness their passions by getting to know their interests.

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband, Doug, my 9-year-old step-son, Brayden, my 3 1/2 year old daughter, Addison, my three cats: Casco, Dexter and Baxter, and my Lab, Sable. My hobbies include interior decorating and exercising, and I love attending our church every Sunday. I am so grateful to be part of the Midway family!

Mr. Walkup

My name is Greg Walkup and I am excited to be serving as the Personalized Learning Coach this year at Midway Elementary! My most recent stop, before Midway, came from Forsyth Central High School where as the Teacher Academy Director I supported high school students aspiring to be effective and inspiring educators and school leaders. Prior to that I helped open Kelly Mill Elementary as their instructional/technology coach, and began my teaching career at Vickery Creek Elementary.

I have received a Specialist Degree in Instructional Technology, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, along with my Gifted, Reading, Online Teaching, and Leadership endorsements.

Family is important to me as an educator and in my personal life. I am married to my beautiful wife of 14 years, and have a 10 year-old son and 8 year-old daughter.

I look forward to serving our staff and little Mustangs this year!
