Specialized Instruction Teachers
I have been married to my husband Ben for 25 years. We have four teenage boys named Austin (16), Brendan (16), Connor (16), and Logan (17). I have been teaching special education for 20 years, 11 years in this current position as a specialized instruction autism teacher. A few years ago, I went back to school and received my EdS in Special Education. I was Mashburn Teacher of the Year in 2010-2011 and Forsyth County Special Education Teacher of the Year in 2016. Needless to say, I love my job! My passion is getting your children to develop their fullest potential through academics, social communication skills, and emotional regulation skills. I will have two parapros this year, Mrs. Chamblee and Mrs. Phillips. They are both amazing and have been with me for several years.
