Mrs. Ireland has over 15 years of experience as an educator of children with special needs. Mrs. Ireland graduated from Florida State University and the University of Georgia where she obtained a degree in Media Communication and her teaching certification in Special Education. Mrs. Ireland has her Leadership Endorsement and is currently serving as the Specialized Instruction Lead Teacher at the "T". She has taught Pre-K- 6th grade students with Autism, Behavior and Significant Developmental Delays. Mrs. Ireland is looking forward to another great year at Chestatee. Ext. 722332
Miss Haley Register is so excited to be joining the preschool team this year. This will be her first year teaching in Forsyth county as she is coming from Lumpkin County, where she has taught special education preschool for three years. She grew up in Forsyth County and graduated from the University of North Georgia with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. Miss Haley lives in Dahlonega with her 1-year-old Goldendoodle and they love spending as much time as possible outside in the North Georgia Mountains. Her heart and passion is teaching and believes her gift to teaching is helping all students communicate and meeting their needs where they are. She is so excited and ready to join the family at Chestatee Elementary!
Kim Sarfaty is excited about another great year in the Special Needs Pre-K classroom at Chestatee! This will be Mrs. Sarfaty's 18th year teaching Special Education and her 2nd year teaching at Chestatee. She received her Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Georgia where she also played on the softball team for 4 years. Mrs. Sarfaty has taught Special Education in middle grades as well as all elementary grades; the majority of her years teaching Special Education has been spent in the Pre-K classroom with her sweet friends. She loves being a part of the wonderful family here at Chestatee, and she looks forward to all of the special moments that she gets to share with her precious Pre-K students this year.
